Sakon Nakhon airport to resume service on August 1

Sakon Nakhon Airport has announced via its facebook page that it will resume its service on August 1. The airport was closed last week due to severe inundation.

 

Meanwhile it will remain closed until 11.59 pm Monday night as it’s runway is still under water.

 

Mr Darun Sangchai, director-general of the Department of Airports, said the flood water on the airport’s Taxiway A has now receded from 60 centimetres to 10 centimetres. The flood water on the taxiway still forces the airport to close service today until 11.59 pm.
