What Did You Do to Your Bike Today ?

Featured Replies

Filled the tank on the chicken chaser (14,000kms) with Shell V-Power. twice. So as not to be diluted too much.

One week later, add two Leos, and I got 102kph (8500 rpm)

Not a world record and not many places locally where I ride can that be done but it was better than the 90 kph (7900) I managed before.

Will repeat on PTT 91 when V-Power runs out.

Inner clutch bearing noisy, got the bearing changed in the front but in Honda's wisdom the rear inner bearing required a special tool.

Made it today out of old clutch plates and a flat metal bar.

Actually got a choke lever now which I fitted today.

No more manual pulling on the cable which was making cold start awkward.

Rode for 2-3 hours in the back road, about the rice fields...no dogs..

That's the special tool sorted which is needed for replacing a inner clutch bearing a faction of the cost of Honda's special tool.

Already Lah. The pins might need grinding a bit to reduce the diameter?

I just bought one of these.

Going to buy a new cylinder as I have discerned that a seasoned cylinder makes no difference if it is a single.

No the pins in the pic are bigger than the other side it's a multi usage tool.

^ I found the small ones to be a tad too large

post-7852-0-53018800-1467734027_thumb.jpg Well my brother riders, finally did it... and those with Thai wives, understand.. after almost 2 years, my wife gave her approval and let me buy a POOCHAI Bike as she calls it... I had the CBR 300R..  Finally, I have a 2019 (13 K Kilometers)  on it a CB 500 X.      Funny Moments of my Thai wife's control.  I actually did not expect to drive it home.. I brought my helmet and gloves just for the test ride.   We transfered the Cash and I was on my way.. I actually, wanted to leave early to make sure I had the bike.   I had about an hour drive home and I was taking a longer route home and the roads were wet.  I thought it best to get use to the handling of the bike.  ANYWAY, my wife of course arrives home first, next I know, a truck and my mechanic friend are loading my CBR 300R in the back..  WHOA.. She actually sold it before  I got home.  I did not think she would do it that fast.   I actually wanted to keep it for city driving.  Actually that was a rational decision and I did not object.. but WHOA.. and F me blind..  It was a sweet deal for my mechanic friend, as she.... knows the bike because she has worked on it.. I actually threw in a brand a new KYT helmet for her.. I only wore it once.

Thus, I patted the gas tank, and said good bye to the trusty CBR300R that I had since 2015.

It is seemed appropriate after I arrived home and the  the 300 left, about 30 mintues later we had the start of the downpour.. The CB500X sits waiting for more of my transiting and braking in and I wait for dry roads.

Went to Honda and ordered the cylinder. I could have bought with the piston but some eSP engines have an offset bore and I wasn't sure.

Next step get the cylinder bored to suit the piston

The one in pix is Rhys new bike who I replied to.

My buddies 500X that his selling is the same but black and his bike doesn't have around the world cases stuff and never toured carrying pilion.

He comes back from UK September / October  this year and has a verbal placed order with Triumph in Phitsanulok for a Triumph Tiger 660 sport in a grey colour.

I won't have to wait as long for him to catch me up in future I  hope. ????????????
