Speaking of John place , I did used to go there about five years ago , tried "tapping in" to one of the waitresses , sat with her many nights, bought her drink and food and she turned down all my requests to go to Spicy and Zoe after work , refused to met me outside the working environment , didnt even accept my facebook friend request .

Walking past a bar in Loi Kroh a few months ago , and there she was again , working as a bargirl , she asked me in for a drink , "Sorry sweetie, you had your chance"

There are designated web forums where sex with prostitutes is their reason for being

No.

Tough life when you can't score a bar girl or even friend them on Facebook. 555

Request to go to Spicy, that really shows your class.

My goodness, if you imposed this kind of rule on ThaiVisa posts, then that would run off many of the regular contributors.

Given that many ( ? most ) expats started as mongers and given the boredom level of many threads these days ( used to be more interesting back in the day ) TVF would shut down for lack of posters. Don't believe me; just look at which threads garner the most responses.

Nothing to with being "righteous" , prudish or anything like that , and I have no qualms about prostitution , I just find it monotonous the constant sex references .

You're in the wrong thread.  You could move over to the long-running Immigration Promenada thread.  We don't talk about sex there, but we do get into some mud-slinging contests sometimes.

Do read the story , she was a waitress at Johns place , she wasnt a bargirl there , she was a genuine waitress and she wasnt interested in any kind of relationship with me , which is fair enough .

A few years later , when she became a bargirl, she then became interested in a relationship with me , and then I wasnt interested in a relationship with her .

Spicy was quite good back them , in the original place when it used to get going about 2 AM , fair enough, not a classy place , but the whole place was rocking

2-3 years ago Stickman (He ran a popular Blog on BKK nightlife first mentioned the B5K).

I met him way back in year of the Tsunami in BKK. A New Zealander and young bloke who had many reasonable views on BKK nightlife and Thailand in general.

I sent him an Email suggesting, for I am no Wordsmith, that Cowboy had killed Bangkok Nightlife.

Mr T.L.Edwards, The Cowboy, introduced the first jukebox to the street, that became named after him by Bernard Trink nightlife correspondant for the Bangkok World then the Post.

Cowboy and his mainly US contemporaries wanted what the knew back in the States out here, Burlesque and or the Girl on the Crome pole.

Thai authorities allowed the Girl on a Pole but nudity was not really on.

The old style Thai Bar started to die for with the new style came the Tourist who needed cheap immediate thrills for their one time or few time visits to The Land of Smiles.

Germans kick in large sums and now own I understand many bars in BKK, all for the tourist $.

The old bars where one could go for a drink to Bullsh1te with like minded men, where on their way out. Yes They all had young ladies who could be easily persuaded to accompany one home or to short time hotel.

But these ladies where different to the one who I am now led to understand dominate in BKK.

Thai yes, but straight up from the country. The came and found the Mama from their own province who would look after them as they undertook their entry into their chosen Profession, said to be oldest in the history of the world.

Now I am told that Coyotes, semi professional dancers dominate and demand and receive vast sums from the Worlds Tourist.

The days of the Thai frang expat and their contemporaries the Middle East Oil Trash have gone.

All Sensible criticism welcome.

Cowboy didn't kill the Bangkok nightlife. High prices and owners that didn't improve their decrepit premises or try and cater to customers did, along with stupid DJs that played what THEY liked instead of what the customers like. I for one will not pay to be assaulted by the too loud "noise" that DJs inflict on customers.

The demise of Washington Square to greed just put a period mark on what had been the greatest ride in history. Nana in the 90s was the pinnacle of it, and ever since just been a slow decline.

If oil workers don't visit any more, that is down to restrictions on multiple visa exempt entries more than a reluctance to visit Nana.

BTW, Coyotes by definition don't "go" with customers. If they do, they ain't Coyotes.

Feel free not to visit threads about it then. Is someone forcing you to keep posting on here?

I would say that it just about squeezes into the lower end of that description when referring to Thailand

I also noticed that sex, Johns place bargirls put three fellatio new signs barfine on the front of the building which longtime shows that they arent there for the short time and that they should be legs open for the foreseeable future

Ah now I never said Cowboy and his like Killed Bangkok nightlife, they replaced the old one of 30-40 years ago with something suited to tourists and not to the old clientele of Bangkok Expats on high salary and expense accounts and the Middle east oil trash, in all a more mature audience, world wise and been around. Restrictions on Multi entry visas, have never stopped my acquaintances from visiting over last 15 years or so.Washington Square was Cowboys 3rd attempt to create another bar area as he was chased on by his debtors causing him to move to Angeles City and then to a Veterans Hospital in the States where he passed away in the mid 90's.

And as I say I have not been down BKK for about 13 years and once again from folk I know Nana is as it always was 2nd rate. Though I must admit I would have thought the descendents of old Khun Nana would have made a fortune from owning all that property.

And Coyotes Don't, cum on grow up, If The Price is Right.
