"Road Rage becoming the Norm" say Thai media after claims man with sword threatened motorist

Thai news media TNews said that road rage in Thailand was becoming an everyday occurrence after an incident in the Klong 3 area of Pathum Thani.

Reverse cam footage showed an impatient driver with a police sticker on the windshield.

He was hooting his horn and trying to squeeze past on both the left and right sides. Someone in the car claims he has a sword as he opens the driver's door and continues along the road with it open.

But dash cam footage earlier showed that the vehicle filming was also likely to blame after bad driving was exhibited, said TNews.

Footage was uploaded to the Facebook page of "Kochakorn Aom". She said she thought the other driver was on drugs and reported that she phoned the police after the filming was started.

Tnews did not follow up what happened or what was the involvement of the police, if any.

As an apologetic 'Wai' seems to be becoming the norm, to avoid serious punishment, is anyone surprised ?

Never going to stop,In this near lawless country they know they can do what they want without fear of the law!

Thailand...Loony Bin of South East Asia !    A Singaporean once laughed when i said i lived in Thailand and said...''You must be a brave man to live in that Lunatic Asylum '' !

Lawless behaviors, due in part to lawlessness.

Thai really need to get proper traffic police and better CCTV and then big fine and confiscate the car/motorbike or else Thailand will become the wild west but I think it's too late to change Thai people

That's exactly what I call it. And every day there is proof on TV that it is. So many violent, irrational people.

that is no way to talk about the TV posters :)

The Thai police need to crack down on this. Just a rampant case of the average Somchai thinking he's the mustard and has impunity to do what he wants as he thinks the law only applies to other people. This has to stop or at least be reigned in. Anyone carrying a sword, baseball bat or gun in their car needs to be brought to an "attitude adjustment" center and given the full 9 yards.

There is no room for wondering, where the overwhelming population is practically uneducated and their IQ is on the same level as a comfortable room temperature, where the level of EGO is as high no one can see from the land, where practically anything can be managed with money and relationship, and where the don’t see, don’t hear and don’t speak is one of the most important national habits.

Has anybody sat down and watched channel 29 Mono I do because they show English Movies on there But nearly every movie on there is violent. Maybe this  affects  Thais ways of thinking? But your right guys and gals There  are a pack of idiots driving on Thai roads and the keystone cops are trying to control ( not to hard i might add)  the drivers Its is just getting way out of hand
