Police in Pranburi suspect an inside job after 16 computer notebooks worth 200,000 baht were stolen from the Advice Pranburi Co Ltd shop in Khao Noi sub-district.

The thief or thieves had dismantled the entire CCTV security system and taken it away. Entry was achieved through a rear door that was forced open at the weekend.

Owner Arthit Makmansri said that 11 of the computers were new and on display at the front of the shop while five were in for repair. A small quantity of money was taken from a desk draw that was forced open.

The detectives of the Pranburi force think two people were involved at least and they likely did the burglary at night when no one was around.

They suspect an inside job and want to talk to a man who was temporarily laid off in February. He was due to return to work last Thursday March 1st but never showed up.

No concrete evidence was left at the scene.
