There was a photo of one on the Jetty in about 2007, it was a Mako shark about 7 / 8 foot long which would put it in 2 to 300lbs area. The local gentry tried to cover it up and say that there are no sharks in the Andaman sea. But Canadian Jim had the photo and showed it to us. There are sharks everywhere and all sea's but attacks are rare. Happy swimming ;-) The local gentry know not which sea washes over the beaches at Hua Hin.
snowgard Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 In my eyes it can be a shark bite. Enough photos on Google who shows similar bites:https://www.google.co.th/search?q=shark+bite+wounds&num=100&rlz=1C1CHBF_deTH789TH789&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi1-YutmMHaAhWBE5QKHQV-CAYQ_AUICigB&biw=1366&bih=637

Actually, it looked like the foreigner's foot was mauled by a Censorshipae pixilator, a seriously predatory species.
jacko45k Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 It's true that there are sharp rocks off Hua Hin as I recall cutting my foot badly there once. More confusing is as to why the Facebook post had to be taken down and whether pressure was exerted to remove this negative image to Thai tourism!
