Type 1

Deductible of ฿5,000 (choice to reduce to ฿3,000 or ฿0 on the next page)
 Sum insured is ฿350,000
 0% instalments over 10 months
Pay simply by credit card online or at 7-Eleven nationwide

Compulsory

Death & Dismemberment or Permanent disability –up to ฿5,000,000
Bodily Injury or Affecting health –up to ฿80,000

Type 1

Third party property damage-up to ฿5,000,000
Excess third party bodily injury-up to ฿10,000,000
Own Damage (Self Accident, Collision, Fire and Theft & Natural Disaster) –up to ฿350,000
24 Hour accident towing-up to 20% of repair costs
 Windscreen/window breakage -up to ฿350,000

Personal accident (Permanent Disability for Driver)–up to ฿100,000
Personal accident (Permanent Disability for Passenger)–up to ฿100,000
 Bail bond-up to ฿50,000

But both quotes only pay up to 350,000 and medical to 100,00 Is this adequate ?

I would have though a like for like replacement cost for the car and a higher medical for a bad accident and care

Is it possible to adjust to higher values >

They all look good on paper. Most people around here seem to use Virunja.

We claimed insurance twice and got service which is important when your car is out of use.

Car Insurance MSIG

MSIG good company,  i do not have vehicle insurance with them, but house insurance.

Got house insurance with them, 5 days into the policy we had a serious storm, roof damage, put in a claim.

Claim was paid in full no problems what so ever ,nobody came, they accepted my photos as proof of damage.

Sorry mate, that's Viriya.

I did say 'around here', I'm sure that it depends on the local representation at the time.

Dam'it. it depends on the local office. all insurance does in Thailand. Viriya might be the best in Buriram but the pits in Chiang Mai. Ask your neighbours.

All our cars are with Bangkok Insurance.

I suggest that you have the 1M limit liability for bodily injury or death with max of 10M each accident ... this is in excess to the CTPL Limit

5M for third Party Claim ... if you do don't hit a Merc as you will be paying the excess claim

Bail Bond I think that should be 300K ours is

Loss of Life, bits cut off or permanent disability 200K for driver and 200K each for up to 6 passenges

Medical expenses 100K each

On a 2016 car best to go for dealer repair/new parts rather that any old repair shop.

If you have named drivers you will get quite a discount and you will also get a discount for having a Car Cam

I can give you the details of our agent if you can't find one yourself ...
