Reminds me as a kid, my mother saying, "knit one purl one," whatever that meant.

My Nan used to be like chairperson of the local knitting club ( guaranteed every Xmas hand knitted jumpers for us ) and the one I remember was " one in time saves nine " or was it " one in 9 saves time " .. can't remember it was so bloody long ago now ..

However, IMO the greatest looking of them all, the S4R, particularly in the Tri Colore version. still looks stunning 12 years later... and certainly better than anything you can buy in 2019 showrooms.....

Amen to that.

There's quite a large group of Rocket owners who swear by using a car tyre on the rear.  It's called going to the "dark side".  They claim they are cheaper and provide more grip, particularly in the rain, while still allowing high speed cornering, and whole forums exist to discuss the best tyres to use.  I've never been game to try it on mine, but I wouldn't mind having a ride on one to see what it's like.

To a degree I can understand the thinking behind using car tyres on the rear as the tread profile across the tyre is flat which would translate to a bigger contact patch with the road surface as opposed to a bike tyre which is more convex across the the width and has that much smaller contact area .. It is the leaning over to any great degree and the lateral loads imposed on the sidewall that would make me wary .. Gentle slight lean probably wouldn't be too much of an issue but Motogp style lean angles maybe not .. Maybe the best way is get another rear wheel with a car hoop fitted for you're bike and give it a go .. Go easy on Marquez style cornering until you've got some feedback though ..

It's the torque guv. Addictive....

Tell me about it...

And, with a 240/50R16 tyre approaching 20k baht, and more than that for some brands, it's a lot of dosh to be coating the road with.
