Good on yer Mr President to put this nonsense in perspective.

Don't know why he had to even have a meet with her or her hangers-on.

Well done The Don.

Well done indeed, especially for not undergoing the whole package - carriage down The Mall, addressing Parliament, state banquet and so on - oh, what? That is what he let it be known he expected? Surely not?

What can you expect from a man who has no respect for anybody. Just a buffoon, no manners, no sense of protocol, no nothing but hot air.

  • I think we can just chalk it up to awareness in general.   She is the queen, you do not forget where she is.   He also turned his back to her and he did not bother to bow or lower his head.  He also s

At this stage of 2018, The UK is in a downspiral... Along with the rest of Europe.

Immigration is laughable.

The UK needs the USA or Brexit results will be a disaster.

Thanks AJ.

He wanted the meet to put her in her place; just like he is doing to the German dominated EU.

she's the head of state. all countries pay the expenses of their head of state. and the head of the American state has many reasons to have use for the British head of state

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I may very well be, but isn't the Prime Minister the head of state, while the Queen (or King at other times in recent history) is actually just a figurehead?

This is ludicrous! She was BORN into her position, like almost all of her predecessors. Trump was elected. All of her wealth was inherited by some crazy dubious claims that the Royal family owns land and property in the UK - what exactly did the family do way back when to justify ownership of these properties?

She pays taxes - oh that's quite nice of her considering the government pays the for family's expenses and extravagant lifestyle. What exactly has any Royal Family done to create wealth or jobs, other than their own or those who serve them?

So in fact she's nothing more than an elderly tourism ambassador.

Sorry, but most Americans have no use for Monarchies and it's worked out pretty well for over 200 years.

How much did you folk pay the native red Indians....?

Did you put them on reservations...?

I'll correct you on that.  The Prime Minister is head of government, no the Head of State.  You will find that the other countries of which she's head of state also have heads of government.

Well let's see:

She's the longest reigning monarch alive today in the world.

She's head of state of 16 countries.

She's outlasted 12 US presidents.

At 92, she still works harder than most.

She gives and raises money for hundreds of charities.

She promotes the UK around the world and brings hundreds of millions into the country.

She pays taxes to the UK government (her choice many years ago)

In the second world war, she was trained as a truck driver and mechanic.

and much more of course............

Monarchies outdated?  Well there are 43 of them around the world.

Now where does that put Donald Trump in the pecking order.  President for a limited time. Unpopular both at home and abroad.  Hundreds of lawsuits piling up against him. etc etc etc

Work.....lol

He's got another term at best. The world monarchies (and I'm no fan)  and the German 'dominated' EU will go on to see your first Socialist POTUS installed.

Ironically,  the Constitution will more closely align with that event.

Remember the 'all men born equal' bit in there? That's Socialism.

You are completely wrong. The Queen is head of state and the Prime Minister is head of government. To some extent she is a figurehead as she is unpolitical. But she has the right to be consulted, the right to advise and the right to warn.

As head of state there is the advantage of elected politicians not getting too arrogant.Pictures of Theresa May are not hung in every public office. She is the subject of the Queen.

The visit was downgraded by the British government due to protests.

He initially demanded the 'golden coach' which he was entitled to. (Until it was downgraded)  That was going to be a security nightmare and previous presidents opted for a secure car.

Theresa May nor anyone else in Britain are "subjects" any more, thank goodness. We are citisens, the nationality of act of 1948 deemed we are all citisens.

Work.....lol

Why not google her workload.  Read and digest.

As some have said, she's a freeloader.  So why is she still working a full schedule at 92?

'Incredibly rich' as some have said.  She is one of the 'poorest' monarchs with a net worth under 400 million.  She doesn't even make the recognised 'rich lists'!

So does Trump, very often to fit in a round of golf.

You haven't even looked it up.  If you did you'll find she does more hours, even at her age, than most of us.

Yes AJ, but she is only queen of those Empire countries in name only. Only England can claim her as a proper queen.

Anyway i,m all for an elected queen or king; alternating 6

month terms.

I recommend a basic course in world geography and/or modern history pal. She is the queen of various countries that are not part of any empire. And she is their head of state as well.
