With over 19 billion nicker in government dosh, Musk’s SpaceX is a top brass govvy grafter in its game. We’re talkin’ contracts for chuckin’ tin cans into the sky, topping up the big floaty gaff (ISS), and helpin’ the military keep an eye on the wrong ’uns. Even Musk’s jam jar hustle (Tesla) ain’t shy about nicking a few readies off the taxman—$3.4 billion in tax perks, plus a $465 million leg-up from the DOE (yeah, paid back, but still). Elon’s been bangin’ on about proper self-driving motors for nigh on nine bleedin’ years. Every time, it’s “next year, me old china, promise!”—and yet, we’re still waitin’. Now, a bunch of aviation bigwigs and gov bods ain’t too chuffed with Transport Guv’nor Sean Duffy and Musk’s tech nerds, who reckon they can redo the whole air traffic malarkey with a team of rookies. Why the long boat race? These muppets can’t even get motors to steer straight, and now we gotta worry about planes fallin’ out the bleedin’ sky?
