All trucks are a bit funny here in LOS....

These are not...(welding trucks owned by young (20+ yr olds?) welders on a project site)

I took the video to show a village welder, how a set up mobile welding.  Not sure a MERC would last long.....

Another car for the big insecure egos.   One of my "friends" on Koh Samui bought a Ford Ranger, latest model 3.2 l engine. Yet 3.2 and how many horse power isn't enough for him, he want

It's not easy to out-ugly a Hilux or Ranger, but somehow they managed it. ?

hopefully  not  merc unreliability  then

Yes, agree.....On our last trip to the states, over 3 months & 5 states about 80% of the vehicles I saw being flat bed towed were MB......I always glance out of curiosity - but it was really lopsided.....

Sure he knows of that model.

Your wrong, it’s a Nissan Navara body shell, same doors and windows, Merc have put a new front end and rear on it and of course a new interior !

And don't forget they also use the Nissan engine in the 220d and 250d.

Sure he knows of that model.

It’s in the showrooms as from today, I am informed.

The badge is so big it can actually be used as the spare tire.

You just have to let people know you are driving a Merc, not an Isuzu.

A waste of time, money, and expectations.....

Marginally - possibly not of fragile egos (very)....

So what? That'S what acura and many other brand do.

There's a good segment of people that want pickups without the shit interior, now they have the mercs.

All the whiners are definitely envious of people with money because theres no reason to get angry at a goddamn car.

The " hand strap " or whatever you call it ,  what the passenger usually holds onto is on the left side as you look at the vehicles. So if the passenger is sat there , I am assuming the driver sits in the other seat.  Or is that Just Weird ?

It's not weird, it'd just that you're ignoring that that handle is fitted to both sides.

The grab handle is on both sides.

Not in any of the photos in the OP.

UGLY,  windows too small for the bulky body, headlights small and look outdated to newer car model lights.

Hate paying for the Badge

Headlights don't have to be large. Small LEDs or laser lights can be very small and still perform very well.

They look like they are left hand drive .

You are right! Those who commented negatively are not the sharpest knives in Mom's kitchen drawer.

Why are so many people here obsessed with owning a pick up ?

unless you use it a lot on the farm, I don't see the reason for them apart from looking macho

go shopping and where do you put the shopping, on the back in the rain?

unless a twin cab, where do you put the family and friends safely and comfortably?

i like the look f them, but for the price and cost to run, I think I will stick to my car

but they make good mobile swimming pools in this weather, lol

Finally ! People driving ugly pickup are now allowed to show some style !

Happy for you guys !

On these dodgy flooded roads ugly sometimes is beautiful but you stick to your vios if it floats your boat (no pun intended)

Have 2 SUV's & a Civic  here now.....

But, the best vehicle that I had here was a Toyota 4 door, 4WD, diesel, short bed pickup..... Reasonable seating capacity with great dual purpose utility - solid....Perfect for an active lifestyle & the varying road conditions....

Ticked all the boxes.....Wish I had kept it.....

Only one side is visible, that's why.

So how do you know the grab handles are on both sides then?

Because I know that there is a grab handle on both sides, I didn't say that "it looks like...".

2 different websites showing the new Mercedes pick up interior , no grab handle on the driver side......So maybe you only think you know......
