Good hospital at Korat ?

Featured Replies

Hi, i would like to do a health check up and meet a urologist. Could you advice me a good place cheaper than Bangkok Hospital ? Thanks

I've found that the Suranaree University Hospital is excellent! Very modern facilities, lots of English speaking staff and far cheaper than Bangkok-Korat hospital. You may also take a look at Debarat Hospital on the Mitrapab road going towards Bangkok.

St. Mary isn't really that good, imo. Been there MANY times with my wife, and the service leaves a lot to be desired!

That doesn't match my experience at all.

I have used the military hospital in Korat several times and had very good experience. Very inexpensive and many English speaking Drs.

I have been living in the Korat area many years and have experience with Bangkok Hospital, St Marys, Military Hospital and Suranaree Hospital. It mostly dedepends on the doctor and what you needed done but my experience has been that Suranaree Hospital is the best choice.

But the wait times are longer than Bangkok Hospital, however the price is about 20% of Bangkok Hospital and seems to be just as modern.

One thing to mention is that Bangkok Hospital or St Mary's are very easy to get to, Suranaree, out of the city. Both St Mary's and Bangkok Hospital have websites with prices for different types of checkups.

The best hospital in Korat is a toss up between the Fort Suranaree Military hospital and the Suranaree Uni Technology Hospital. In Korat doctors work basically at all the hospitals but on different days. A doctor who does consultations at one hospital on say a Wednesday will do another consultation clinic at another hospital on another day. I prefer, out of all hospitals in Korat, the Fort Suranaree Military hospital. But it all depends on you medical problem.
