A well deserved win that one. Clinched the top spot as well. Little Bernardo continues his great form.

Considering we had no KdB, no Foden, no Grealish and starting with a very rusty Zinchenko that was a great result against the diving specialists of world football. Totally dominated the first half but couldn't finish any of the chances. Made to pay for that in the second half but really happy with the comeback after PSG scored. As for Silva, deserved MotM. What an engine he has

To be fair PSG have three player who refuse to work off the ball so I don't think this was the hardest group for you.

And they are being managed by your number one target for your next manager. If he can't get them to work he'll struggle with your lot as well.

Nice to see you not give credit for our performance though

Not necessarily. Do you think Poch put together this team or that it was the Qataris? It's probably one of the reasons he wants to leave. Messi and Neymar have never worked defensively. Maybe you could get away with two of those players, but with Mbappe it compounds the problem. And do you think Poch has any power to drop them?

I bet he can't wait to get out of there.

Anyway, he isn't our target for next manager. Next manager will be an interim. Keep up!

I didn't say he will be your next interim manager, I said he is your number one target for next manager. They have totally different job titles. Carrick is interim, interim manager. The next will be interim manager and then it will be manager. You could say permanent manager if you so desire but I doubt it will be

What does "bright future" look like? Top 6? Top 4? PL winners? what timeframe? Because I think you are quite a way off Chelsea, Liverpool and ourselves at the moment

I think this season has to be top 4 target. Joking aside, it's quite worrying that you seem to have a few of these Pep clone youngsters on the conveyor belt. I wonder what our kids have been learning during the Ole era. If the first team is any reflection we are in trouble!

I remember on here a couple of years ago a certain member slagging us off about our academy and Bredbury Blue and myself said don't you worry, they are starting to come through the system. Just wait. That is now starting to happen. Our academy is something else and I'm sure even some ex United players have their kids in our academy

A professional win that despite the snow.

Always nice to see Fernandinho on the pitch...and a goal!

I've not been a really big fan of Rodri but he has definitely grown into his role.

Weird game that. In the first half we were absolutely battering them and then they got a very early goal in the second half which spurned them on. Overall I reckon we deserved it but Villa played really well in that second half.

Dias scored a very rare goal from quite a way out but Bernardo Silva's goal was absolutely top drawer.

Grealish came on for the last few minutes after being injured. Foden was on the bench and not used. Maybe not 100% fit yet. KdB still out and Kyle Walker didn't travel.

Congrats to Pep on getting his 150th win which took him 204 games to achieve. Only 4 managers have managed that, one being SAF which took him 247 games to get to 150 wins.

Corker of a goal from little Bernardo!

Do you think Bayern would return Sane to us if we gave them Sterling and Dandy Jack Grealish? I'd much prefer Sane on the left flank. I've been wrong before but Grealish is looking like a one trick pony. I hope he can show some diversity in his game but it ain't there so far.

Kudos to Wolves for fighting beginning to end, but City should have won that going away. 3 points.

You’re <deleted> team. If I do 3-0 in the prediction, it ends up 2-0……..if I do 2-0, it ends up 1-0.

Another banker wasted!

I never do a banker on City. Saying that, Liverpool and Chelsea would have also been wasted

They did the same last week against Liverpool didn't they and only lost in the 90+ minutes. We could have sewn it up much earlier but I'll gladly take 3 points no matter how we get them

10 men and a dodgy pen, not a injury time winner against 11

I was talkin about how much fight Wolves have in them. They took you to the wire and even with 10 men they were very resilient against us. They're a hard team to beat, which is why I'll gladly take the 3 points. I'm glad that the stone wall pen was given but surprised the even more stone wall handball wasn't given just before half time.

Yeah, that was clearly handball. Well, with some clarification of the rule there are less outrageous calls than last year, but still you are going to have brain dead decisions.

Disorganized and sloppy in the first period and it could have been 0-0 save for Cancelo. What a footballer! Much better in the second period and walked away as usual.:clap2:

Been a good game. Newcastle played alright, worth more than 3-0. Your defence doesn't look invincible

Yeah it was worth more. It finished 0-4

As for our defence. No defence is invincible and we've been breached 9 times but it's still the lowest in the PL, so it's not too shabby.

Yeah first half we were slow and as you say, sloppy with passes. Second half was much better. Seems a daft thing to say when we are 2-0 in front but I bet Pep gave them a rollicking at half time.

All round, with Chelsea and Liverpool both only getting a point it was a most excellent weekend

See you have the 'dynamic duo' Kavanagh (ref) and Tierney (VAR) on Boxing Day.....But as they're from Manchester and Wigan respectively, I wouldn't worry too much if I was a City fan????

Jack and Phil sent to the naughty step by Pep. Signing Grealish was always fraught with the risk that he would corrupt younger team-mates with his "party party" attitude.
