Well he's a bit of a character, and probably good to have a coach that is in tune with the social media generation, rather than alienating the players.

His posts might be a little cringey, but I don't think that they are controversial.

No harm in it at all, it's just there are so many knobs on twitter at the ready.

My guess is pogba will play against arsenal he really needs to step up a few notches because we won in Paris without him

Would have thought he's the midfielder who is 100% to start. Gonna be very interesting to see who starts in the other 2 spots if Ander and Matic are back.

I'm afraid that you started the name calling.

True, Bredbury didn't ring a bell. I googled it, a suburb of Stockport, no wonder I didn't recognise it.

When we were both young supporters of our clubs, Stockport was in Cheshire, as it has been for most of it's history. Stretford was in Lancashire, as it has been for most of it's history, hence it's the home of Lancashire CC. Both became part of Greater Manchester in 1974, thanks to the Tories. I was born in the county town of Lancashire.

Ergo. When I was a lad, I supported a team from my county, you supported a team from your neighbouring county. Neither you, nor I were born Mancunians, but I think I edge it on bragging rights. :post-4641-1156694572:

From a perspective of the future of the squad, I think the other night could be hugely important. Most players in that dressing room have never experienced a Manchester United night like that, and the experience of ‘seeing what Manchester United can do’ first hand like that will hopefully accelerate their development and understanding of what is required to be here.

For the academy kids who were forced into the squad on circumstance, this will help them massively. We learned that a player like Dalot absolutely has the personality for the club, as he really stood up to be counted, he showed no fear from his first minute to the last. Scott Mac played his biggest game for us on his biggest stage, as did Fred.

The only shame for me is that Pogba and Martial in particular could not be involved. I think for the team we are trying to build over the coming years, for those two to have been part of a United night like that, would have been so key in building them into the players we will rely upon over the next few years.

What isn't an assumption is that you started the name calling and made some seriously wide of the mark assumptions about me.

What are these bragging rights you're on about?

You're from Morecambe, which is miles from Manchester. Shouldn't you be a Preston or Blackpool or Carlisle or Burnley or Southport or Liverpool  or Everton fan; clubs all closer to your home...glory hunter. I'll  give you that, you're good at bragging. ????

I have no problem with United fans wherever they are from (Morecambe isn't a millions miles away). But IMO there is nothing wrong with supporting United + your local team (as long as they aren't rivals).

Rick, i also have  no problems with ManU fans from Morecambe but he clearly doesn't realise Manchester and Stockport run in to each other with his convoluted arguement.

Of course you can support more than one team, I'm a United fan but even more so a football fan. Good football is good football, no matter who plays it.

I can never understand people who support a foreign side against an English side in the CL. This year, I will be cheering on United, City, Arsenal and Spurs. Hopefully United will win (never thought that I would be saying that before Christmas) but it will be great for English football if any of them win.

In my case I like to watch other players there hasbeen some great ones over the years Ronnaldo is one

I'll stop short of calling this one a must-win, but if we want to lock down a place at the top four table at the end of the season a win of Arsenal tomorrow would just about drive the stake through their heart.

4 clubs are competing for the final 2 Top 4 spots with 8 matches left after tomorrow. A United win tomorrow would give us this:

Spurs 61
United 61 (unless we blow Arsenal out 6-0, in which case we go to third)
Arsenal 57
Chelsea 56

We still won't be done and dusted, but being 4 points up on Arsenal with 8 matches left is a much better place to be than being 1 point up with 8 matches left to play.

With a win Top Four is just about, but not quite and dusted and we'd even have a decent shout at 3rd place. But a draw or defeat to Arsenal keeps up in a dogfight right to the last match of the season.

Best to give everything we've got to beating Arsenal and put them out of our misery. A draw or defeat to them won't be catastrophic, but it would be a disappointment.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær reacts strongly to a gaming company using him in an advertisement, reports NRK.

On Friday, the State Channel NRK had an exclusive interview with Solskjær. The Manchester United manager was shown a piece from the Evening Standard.

In the newspaper there is an advertisement for the betting company Paddy Power who plays on Solskjær's success as a manager in the form of a message intended for Prime Minister Theresa May.

"Theresa, time to try the Norwegian model?" Asks the company and at the same time launches the odds of Solskjær getting the Manchester United job on a permanent basis.

Solskjær reacts
This upsets Solskjær.

- Is there anything I should not have anything to do with, it is a betting company. They are going to have big problems with me, Solskjær told NRK.

- I promise you will this will be sent in by my lawyer, says Solskjær.

VG has approached Manchester United with questions about how the club reacts to their manager being used against his will in a game advertising.

The club is yet to answer.

Lawsuits awaits
Lawyer Erik Flågan states that Paddy Power can expect a compensation claim.

Flågan is aware that the advertisement is illegal.

- This case will be handled by our English partner. We recommend that the business community, all the time you should be tempted to use Solskjær's name and image in a commercial context, think again - before you come into an unfortunate situation in the form of violation of Solskjær's rights, says Flågan to VG.

Where's your ambition? Top 3 or bust. At Christmas, I promised a certain Spurs "supporter" to give him a wave as we passed him. He laughed at the time, I'll bet he's not laughing now.

Yes some of the comments made in the past few months by them on various team threads mirrored what Poch accused his team of yesterday. “Arrogance in a bad way”.

Could come back to bite them where it hurts.

Shame the Arsenal thread has died. I’m sure they would be enjoying these moments too even though their task still seems an uphill one if they don’t beat you today.

You will not be surprised to know that i always support ANY team in ANY competition against ManU and Liverpool. In europe i support the other english teams. I particularly like it when Chelsea win and kick the establishment in the goolies.
