Quite a True price hike

Featured Replies

I called True today to reload the internet package I've used for some time.      I found my 589฿ plus 7% tax package is selling for 650฿ + tax.

Quite a hefty increase.

Is there a special reason for this significant price increase?

Inflation on the rise?

main reason? no competition, they can do what they want at the price they want

Take your pick:

--True is having to pay the government for their latest mobile frequency concession bid, and guess where the money is coming from?

--True needs extra money to roll out future 5G phone services, which probably won't be here for a year or two, and guess where the money is coming from?

--There's a PM election coming up, and paying off political candidates isn't cheap, and guess where the money is coming from?

--The family that own True is building new mansions, and guess where the money is coming from.....

etc etc etc...

Oh well.    As long as it's for a good cause?

Which package is this? Home or mobile?

Sounds like mobile my home package is 865 per month and doesn't list any tax payment.

For all internet, mobile, fixed line prices 7% VAT has to be paid.

All prices that I know are being advertised without the tax incl.

My ToT internet is advertised for 750 Baht.

802.5 to be paid.

All the internet packages of AIS are advertised without tax included.

A well know surprise: top up to a 100 Baht and try to book a "99 Baht" package.

Won't work.

etc. etc.

Maybe you can give a pointer to the package that you have.

Look up the word 'hefty'. It doesn't mean what you think it does.
