Daily News reported that the Chiang Mai police had arrested a Burmese man caught doing daredevil stunts in the downtown area of the city.

Ongmeuang or "Mai", 21, who has been living in San Sai found himself a Facebook celebrity after doing a no hands stunt on his Honda Click.

The media said he worked in a massage parlor.

He was pictured doing a reenactment of the stunt at the police station.

The result was five charges:

1. Negligent and dangerous driving

2. Driving without due care and attention for other road users

3. Not having the proper equipment on his motorcycle

4. Having no tax

5. Not wearing a helmet.

The police, if they could be bothered, could hit 99% of bike riders everyday with those same charges... Why don't they ??

  • Only To be a Burmese is a crime. Keep calm and carry on MF

They will do but not in Pattaya.

I pay 200 bath for not having helmet

I pay 400 bath for not wearing safety Belt

I pay 600 Bath for stopping on the Zebra line

Why did they make him stand on the seat at the station? Then again, why ask, it is the BiB

Eh .! What plod had him doing him doing standups in the carpark .. That sound a bit cupid ..

If he only was a danger to himself i wouldn't care, but he's a serious real danger to other people. But will those 5 charges keep him of the streets?

How do you slap someone with 5 charges

Do you bitch slap him 5 time?

Why do you do those things, do you think that the law does not apply to you?

By the way, the currency is baht.

He doesn't, the bike is decelerating, obviously.

Not necessarely, I met a guy on the Mae On - Chiang Mai road with a big bike doing this at 80-90 km/h (no traffic though) . Probably a farang considering he wore a full-face helmet, gloves, proper boots and leathers. Perhaps a tvf member?

There are such a lot of back roads, where one can practice "motorcycle arts". It definitely does not have to be down town or in heavy traffic. If you want to show off, wait for your next local motorcycle event. Some folks never learn.

I believe that such people jam coins in the mechanism.

Back in the days of yore all motorcycle throttles could be set to stay open with a screw method.

That machine would not stand a chance against my ex-wife.

Bath Baht Bat is a proper name you can write it as you want only in it is thai languge you must write it right.

It's a common sight in CM of 2 even 3 Thai-Yai boys on a bike blasting full speed down the road, barely in control.....an accident waiting to happen.

Maybe he hasn't had a shower for a long time ?

The smug look on his face outside the station has been wiped off... fall from grace is always ugly!

Joy killers all of you!!!! You all were obviously born 80 years old! I thought he was a cool kid doing a cool stunt!

His problem is that he's Burmese, is all.

I wouldn't want to be the new guy on the job who has to get in there to unclog a jam.
