Coins into notes

Featured Replies

if you deposit it to your account the bank does not charge you..

Villa Soi 11 always used to welcome small coins (bagged into B20 amounts) and they had a sign on the tills advertising it.  I assume they still do at their new Soi 11 location.

heres an idea...give it away to someone who needs it...you wont get any notes back but you might get some good karma

If you happen to have an SCB account they have these things that deposit coins directly into your account

I use them for fuel once i have a massive pile.

Very cool. Have 4 machines in Bangkok.

The machine was previously shown off (and became the highlight) at the Money Expo in May of last year, and SCB quietly launched it in September. Now there are only four coin deposit machines in Bangkok — at CentralWorld, Central Ladprao, Central Westgate, and Mega Banga, according to an SCB staff member.

I would welcome a machine that turns coins into either notes or deposits straight into an account. The wife has a 20 litre green water bottle (as in 10 baht water) 3/4 full of coins. It probably weighs in at over 100kg. Must be 20k baht of coins in there.

These machines don't work properly and are a pain in the ass.
