Serial burglar said he did it so he could open a hair cutting salon

A burglar responsible for a string of thefts from upmarket houses in the Chonburi area told police that he wanted to get enough money to open a barber's. 

 

Wisoot, listed by Sanook as being 54 years old, was arrested as he was on his way to apply for a course in hair cutting at a college. 

 

Someone recognized his face and called the Samet police who had an easy arrest. 

 

He admitted to stealing from upscale houses in Chonburi the latest being a house in the Huay Kapi sub-district of the central Thailand province. 

 

A video on the Thai Rath site showed Wisoot in one of his burgling escapades. 

 

At a house fitted with CCTV inside he is seen rummaging through personal belongings before being disturbed by a woman who returns unexpectedly. 

 

He then flees the scene with the proceeds.

Well thats makes a change,to open a Barbers,it's usually

done for alcohol or drugs,or something to eat if really desperate.

maybe he can practice cutting hair in the nick.

Not easy to get a job in Thailand when people are over 40 years old and without education 

and if they has been doing prison time it is impossible

I've got a friend who was let go by Big C last year after 25 years employment, she's now 45 and say's it's impossible to get a similar job, as soon as she say her age it's sorry no thanks!

He could start  cutting hair inside.  My German grandad did when he was interned during WW 1.

In fact he ( not my grand dad ) could start a business inside ( using plasic scissors ) and call it ' Curl up and dye '.

The room in the video doesn't look upmarket to me!
