I couldnt imagine moving to cambodia or having a Thai wife.

My wife would move to Cambodia with me tomorrow. The downside is she would not stay there and would want to come back to Thailand with me when I returned the next day ????

I think a better topic would be....I have a few failed marriages behind me...unsuccessful in business and can no longer get it up.. Should I, as a Nerd, move to Laos or is Bangladesh a cheaper option.

Sorry Simon....just couldn't help it. Your life story, to date, on this forum has been fascinating. No malice intended mate!

I met my wife in Germany where we left 10 years together. For me nothing changed with the visa regulation. Neither I nor my wife want to relocate to Cambodia. We visited it for 2 weeks, were impressed of the friendly people (my wife said: the real land of smile) and the good English language knowledge of the people - but to live there: for sure not.

This is what she said. "Cam-boo-de-ah people bad. No like Thai people. Cannot."

Yeah, some Thais are racists. When my wife and I were at Koh Chang in a 4* hotel, the most friendly staff with the best English knowledge came from Cambodia. After we have been in Cambodia my wife called it "the real land of smile".

Depends if we could both find there the type of rewarding work we both have here. Fairly difficult I'd say. We're more likely to move to my home country.

Who really cares to bring a sandwhich to Kow ? We can buy some everywhere, so why bringing one ?

My very good female Thai friend would not even look at my photos of Cambo. History of conflicts. My understanding is that the two countries would not even cooperate on oil exploration in an area they both claim.

She sounds like a keeper!
