Interesting idea, probably a no go zone for falang because the women tend to be larger

i am afraid it could be a no go zone for indians too

it's a little bit far from their favorite Beach road spot

Fantastic news, I just hope prices are at least half of what Nana Bangkok charges!!!

I will definitely be there in April 2020...

Yep i am sure the condos and hotels in the near area

are already very happy with the idea.

They have desperately tried to reduce the noise pollution at night

with a semi succesfull ban on the parking trafic after 22h00

and now this. good luck to them.

Oh how lovely, Pattaya needs more bars right? This kind of venue will definitely inforce Pattaya as a family oriented destination, i hope he will not forget to install some kiddy playground in the complex...

Hopefully drive families away. They have plenty of other destinations to go to in LOS. It's families that have ruined Pattaya as a big boy's paradise.

Anyway, I suggested years ago that The Avenue would make a good gogo complex, though I hope there are actually some good looking ones left to work there. No one wants to see fat gogo dancers.

I also hope he stops the DJs playing that <deleted> garbage they like, if he wants customers to stay.

Nana doesn't cause noise outside the complex. Have you ever been there?

I consider Avenue to be sacrosanct.....I cant believe their turning it into a noisy brothel.

I hope property values in the area do not plummet due to the noise and unsavoury vibe.

Feel bad for Villa Supermarket.

No i have never been to Nana complex in Bangkok

but you misunderstanding my comment, i am not talking about

the noise created by the establisments themselves, but more than

the noise of the drunk customers shouting on the parking area

a sort of collateral damage.

Out of curiosity how works Nana plaza in Bangkok?

I have heard from differents sources from the last months

it was pretty calm and not far to die

Somehow I don't see the Thai Passport office on the second floor putting up with half naked girls wandering outside and BOOM BOOM music echoing around their office all day!????

But everyone that doesn't live there or even visit keeps saying it's dead!

The noise of the gogos is contained within the rooms, and the bars outside are relatively quiet.

Contrary to what you and others believe, there are no drunk customers shouting outside the complex. In fact, drunkeness is not a significant factor at Nana, anymore than in Soi 7, 8 in Pattaya or on Walking Street.

Difference between places like London and Pattaya is that drunken young hoons are not in evidence much in Pattaya, but all over the place in London.

Soi 7 and 8 are far more noisy than a gogo area as the bars are all open to air, and they play music loudly.

The part of The Avenue where the gogos will be is well away from the road too. The bar beers across the road are loud, but no one has come on here criticizing them, although they have been there for decades.

To read the comments on here it's as though there are no other bars on Second, when it's full of them right against the road. Perhaps people just like to complain about anything new.

I hope it succeeds.

BTW, I was at the opening of The Avenue, and I believe that it was owned by Indians.

Well, they are taking over everywhere else, why not the Avenue ???? The good thing will be that there will be no bar fines and the girls will only want 100 Bht ????

Another 2 shopping centers were opened which were 1. Pattaya Avenue with Major Cineplex, Major Bowl and Villa Market as anchor tenants. In 2014, it had another anchor “Premium Outlet” who operated discounted fashion goods 2. Power Center named “Khao Yai Market Village” which had Tesco as anchor tenant. This project was already sold to Tesco Lotus

Wow...really intelligent comment here.

Waiting for the McDonalds serving Indian food comments next.

Just what Pattaya needs, more girlie venues!

Opening March 31st?  Wouldn't that be considered the end of tourist season?  Perhaps they are thinking the Indian guys will vacation there to get away from India's monsoon season.  I could also see them coming up with a sort of scheme where the punters pay for companionship when they book their holiday, to find out when they arrive that the voucher they paid for is only the bar fine.  Special group rates?

Maybe the Indian has a deal to build on a certain Thais land with the plan to close down most of Pattaya's other nightlife turning it more into something like Bangkok with the dirty stuff in certain streets, not everywhere like it has been in Pattaya. The farang dinosaurs are dying off and the younger Millennials don't seem to want or need to travel the world for 'exotic excitement'. The regime and many others want to clean up and improve Pattaya making it more of a place for all people. Moreover, Thais have become more educated so they don't want to stand at a bar waiting in the hopes that some rich guy will shower them with money or marry them. Young women these days contact men directly through the Internet cutting out the need to go to certain places to meet foreigners. Those who do work in the entertainment places in Pattaya will want more money which will reduce the number of businesses which is exactly where Pattaya is going. This isn't 1990s anymore. Thailand just isn't the same. The world is much more accessible to Thais. THat's how I see it anyways.

Who wants to open a bar just after the high season?

And if the rents are like Nana then enjoy the ride. 555

The Avenue has been dead since the opening of Central many years ago.

This revamp into something entirely different could have worked, if the potential customers had not fled Pattaya long ago.

One cannot spend years transforming a sex and drugs and rock n'roll city into a mom and pop's boredom, and hope to have it both ways.

The players, among whom I used to be, have left the building...

Pronostic for this new venture: will bite the dust within a couple of years, the time for the first leases to expire...

Yes, but at the end of the day, I guess the authorities love money more... LOL

there are too many gogo bars already in pattaya.. many of the girls are struggling to make a reasonable income. im not talking about over 35yr olds,either..

You are the "Indian" now, being a felang in Thailand
