Thanks for clarifying. What are all the badges etc about?

They get the first one for being born, the second for their first word....'Krup', the third for getting Flip Flops on the right feet and so on until they get one for driving underage without a Licence !

The first part of the Thailand declaration says "Love Oneself" He does that alright and doesn't give a toss about anything else.  What has a Moscow declaration got to do with Thai morons dying on the roads ?   Its also about time they stopped calling them 'Accidents"  They nearly all have a contributory cause. The majority of incidents have a reason why they happened,

As a New Year’s Gift to the people of Thailand, the Prime Minister said he wanted the country’s road fatality rate to drop to 0% quickly.

That medical marajuana must be strong

while calling on the general public to follow the theme of the Thailand Declaration, which is "Love Oneself, Love Your Family and Love Others".

Unlike following his own declaration of "help thyself, help thy brothers, and sod all others"

Why does he still dress like that? If the man has rescinded his military duties and taken on the role of a normal civilian PM then shouldn't he ditch that sort of military themed gear?

He cannot, as he expects all the "Civil Servants " that work in Local Authority Offices Etc Etc Etc to wear the uniform.

And he is also Defence Minister.

Really, how sad ???? more talk about love and family while doing nothing to stop he carnage-that is stooping low-better to say nothing.  It is primarily a policing issue, but this is never mentioned by the authorities-it is the police department’s responsibility to pursue those breaking the laws and ignoring maintenance on their vehicles.  Real penalties, and no bs excuses-fatalities reduced immediately.  Is it not common sense?

I’m sure the police will work extra hard now.

The police force is useless. The people are hopeless. You’re not fixing this mess dear dictator.

Don't need an encouragement policy we need an enforcement policy!

Start with prosecuting a high profile high publicly case to convince people of serious intentions.  A well known Porsche driver might be a start to kick of the campaign.

I have two suggestions to "enhance efficiency in the prevention of road accidents". Get the highway patrol to take their work seriously. When is the last time you saw a highway patrol vehicle, actually patrolling the highway? That would be a deterrent to reckless driving. And start writing significant tickets, for reckless driving. Start pulling over those numskulls who cut in front of vehicles doing 120kph, and do other incredibly reckless things on the road. Start citing trucks who hog the fast lanes on the highways.

Start caring!

Show some pride!

Do the right thing!

Put something behind your words!

For once in your career, back up your words with action, and follow it up.

Your constant declaration, proclamations, and crackdowns, that have absolutely nothing behind them reminds me of a Hollywood type saying "lets do lunch". Nothing there. An empty suit.

Thailand will never, ever have even a single day of 0% road deaths...ever.

The Government is too stupid, the police force too corrupt and the general population uneducated.
