I was ripped off by a motor cycle repair shop in Pattaya to the tune of about 2000 Bt.

I boycott places that charge falang price. One now charges me a lower thai price so i go back regularly. Another classic example is women.. 2

johng Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Its always best to ask the expected price first then if at all possible sit there and watch the work like a hawk. 1
canthai55 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 It is always best to find a reputable shop and leave the wrenching to them if unwilling or unable to do yourself

worgeordie Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 The other side of the coin, i had the valve snap off while i was trying to replace it and fix a new bum gun on it,tried to get it out myself, would not budge, so my wife phoned a friend that had some plumbing work done recently, and she phone the man up, he was there in half an hour, actually there were 3 of them. They could not extract the broken piece either, so had to drill and knock a hole in the wall so they could get at the pipe, they did that, put new connectors for the toilet and bum gun, when it came to the cost i was shocked all he wanted was 300 THB, that's labour and parts.so pleased to find an honest plumber, just need to find similar electrician.not all Thais are out to gouge you. regards worgeordie 1
