You guys obviously havent gotten the message to stay home.

Let's assume that the posters have legitimate reasons for the travel.

I am not aware of travel restrictions (for foreigners) in these provinces.

Please correct me if I have overlooked something.

So far I am aware only about no gos to the Muslim south, Phuket, Phang Nga? and Mae Hong Son.

If possible avoid nightly rides (as a general rule), wear masks after leaving the vehicle at any time. No unnecessary stops. Avoid crowds.

Checkpoints (if any) are doing the usual fever test and maybe hand disinfection or the like.

No formal documents necessary.

Chanthaburi to Pattaya: Chanthaburi - Rayong - Chonburi

Rayong to Bangkok: Rayong - Chonburi - Chachoengsao - (Samut Prakan) - Bangkok

TV always judgmental. As far as I noticed travel no problem. Logical questions and proper reasoning sometimes a fever check.

Perhaps you could get the grab option from Pattaya to Chanterbury for me then Timy?

My wife advised me that the government now requires that masks be worn by all occupants of the vehicle at all times, including if you are driving all by yourself.  Be aware that you could receive a hefty fine if you are caught not wearing a face mask while driving or riding in a vehicle.

Sure why not

But when you arrive at your destination many areas expect you to self-isolate for 14 days, enforced by the village headman

And if you don't the village headman points a bone at you and you die.

A local Thai here was fined B200 for not wearing a mask as a passenger in a car.

Which was labeled fake news some days ago

And indeed, as another poster wrote it's now mandatory to wear the mask in the vehicle.

When in Rome...

As posted already, on Sunday I drove from Rayong to Bangkok via Klaeng and Baan Beung. 2hrs 30mins, no checkpoints, no police, no soldiers, no checkpoints.

....I should have added that I carried my passport, my up to date 90 day report, and my pink ID card. Latter confirms my home address in Bangkok.

Of  course, otherwise I would not have attempted it.

Pretty poor reply.

I arrive current location March 18. At that time could book flights within Thailand. Almost booked flight to Phuket. So glad I didn't. Then flights within Thailand canceled by AirAsia at least. Then curfew, beach closures in Phuket and elsewhere.

As I understand it from gf rumours curfew to soon be applied elsewhere.

I live in bkk. Things change constantly.

I was Saigon airport March 16 and chatting with guys returning to Singapore. They had that day to get back before 14 day self isolation. 10 flights were cancelled.

Very smug reply.

Stupid response, as usual best you can do, why bother.?Really no f and n idea of the number of reasons that would make a simple trip to another region necessary!

That is the most ridiculous rule ever.

Crossed the provincial boundry between Rayong and Chon Buri 4 times in the last 2 days (don't ask why, its nobody's business but mine),  No road blocks and no checks, if fact I haven't seen a cop for days now.

As announced today.

My advice against night driving is now redundant

Stupid. In an enclosed environment, no risk to someone outside the car. It would make more sense if at a checkpoint the driver and passenger were required to put a mask on  before winding down a window or getting out of the car.
