A Call to Thailand’s 1111 and 1422 On Social Gathering

Featured Replies

So, got words both from 1111 and 1422, Thailand’s sorta Covid-19 hotlines—regarding social gathering anywhere.

There is no specific number involved so long as measures are STRICTLY observed or followed, specially with regard to social distancing (at least 1.5m away). It was advised that parties of loud music, drinks and many drunken people must be avoided. Such things would surely get attention from police officers (or neighbors) and big explanations would be needed. Interestingly, it was mentioned that everything would depend on the evaluation of the police officers, once noticed or a visit is made.

It was also said that the paramount objective is the practice of social-distancing measures even inside homes, specially when there are old people—in order to avoid spreading the virus.
