All of the pictures look like a cartoon fantasy land that has absolutely no resemblance to the land available in the real Pattaya.

The streets are far to narrow to accommodate loosing a lane to a monorail as the can barely handle the existing traffic now. Only 3 stops are planned for 2nd Road and no one is going to walk to and from a distant monorail stop. Traffic will be far worse than now.

What foreign tourists would want to visit here. It's become a sterile place. The tourists want to see something full of eastern promise. And I don't mean Turkish delight.????

They still haven't completed the first Bali Hai marina fiasco - what makes them think they can pull this off?

Possibly Chinese expertise and money!!! I wonder if there will be a casino?? The beginning of another Sihanoukville??

You could well be right. Looks like my favourite little park at Naklua fish market is about to become a car park.

They really are greedy materialist people. Bling and sparkle is all they are interested in.

Pattaya is going to be a very different place in a few years.

Just glad i didn't retire there full time time and sell up at home.

Yes, what a fantasy. The only way is to build over the beach. Reclaim land from the sea and make the place twice as big.

Beware your beach front condo soon has concrete monstrosities and streets of more bars in front of it.

This drivel again, every year or 2 it comes by like a bad smell. Unless they demolish or complete the 53 story water front suite condo this plan is impossible. Its been exactly 6 years since construction was halted. The only thing that's happened is the weather entering the unfinished building and making it a lot more expensive to complete the building.

They seem to hate trees, shrubs, grass anything green....They also seem to dislike fountains.........They also dislike any kind of sitting areas or areas where people can congregate like open grassy areas.....

They seem to like that sterile barren stark concrete look...

Parks and greenery don't generate income. Sadly, concrete and smoke and mirrors may prevail.

And here I thought the "Pattaya Eye" was just Pink Eye...

Show us you can walk before you go off running. Start by cleaning the rubbish off the beachs and keeping it clean. Thailand doesn't have a history of landscaping or land management outside of private golf courses. Takes a lot of work to maintain manicured green spaces. Most the greenery I've seen are just left to overgrow if it's on public land or private land for that matter.

Oh and you need to photoshop in some sunburnt over the hill no shirt Farangs and bar girls into that picture.

For goodness sake, the City Council can't even provide us with a proper park, they should start with learning how to do the basics before trying to outdo Singapore.

What about that huge cement unfinished condo monolith where developent has stopped overlooking Bali Hai.

What a bad mistake giving planning consent for that if actually it was properly passed.  It needs to be demolished or reduced to 10 floors maximum.

Wonder where these 7 mill tourists come from.

Anyone else notice that there isn't a single trash bin in any of those artist renditions?

What could possibly go wrong?

There is some kind of scary high rise building in the area, hopefully included in these fantastic plans.

Besides, the project looks very very charming, genuine Thai style. Amazing, this can be finished already 2023.

Same developer as the tunnel I suppose ????

And what about the car park ? can it be used now ?

I wonder from where all this money comes from ?

500 millions more for the beach, etc... it seems that they always have funds when people are actually starving ! So how can they do ? it's a serious question !
