Have they even begun to think this through? This would likely bring a mere handful to a country that needs millions to restore anything like normality to the travel sector. Thailand has been very fort

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

It would be funny if it wasn't true!!!????????????

If I was a big spender with a private plane I don't think Thailand would be high on my list of places to visit!

No plans for letting Privilege Entry visa holders back in the country?

So now we see once more what is important for these clowns in power here! So the high spenders won't carry the bloody virus at all...? Hypocrites at large. ????

How many High Spenders are we talking about that will fly in on private jets ?

15 - 20 ?  And how will that affect the common worker in Thailand who need

income the most ??

Right now is the time for anyone already in Thailand to take advantage of incredible deals on hotel rooms. I got 80% off at the place I stay at here in Bangkok.

what has this got to do with the topic? just gloating that you're in thailand by the sounds of it

That is real indicator how much government think about lower class people, and i guess the words of CP billionaire owner became truth, its no secret and is obvious who are in real control of Thailand.

So true. The lower class people or rather their children are back to school and learning what , nothing much as they should know there position in life. The elite are in charge of the country and they don't want this to change.

They will flock to the sales in Malls,  to get UP TO 70% off   but asking about the 70%  the shop said yes but that one item was sold now we offer 15-20%  lol

It's just a high spender confirming there are bargains for those with an entourage.

So the rich are looking after themselves. If they let people in to the country that arrive in private jets they ain’t going to be staying at your average hotel or going to a average restaurant. They will be staying at high end places and eating in high end restaurants owned by the already rich in Thailand !! Money goes to money !

Sheer desperation .What makes them think that super rich would want to come here/ i bet the quarantine rules would not apply as rich people are virus free hahaha

Money money money please come and spend your wealth her in Amazing Thailand

555. Dreamers. And those so called high-spenders, how do you know that they are going to spend very much? Should they fill in a document telling how much they plan to spend and before they leave declare it and the eventually minus they have to pay to PM? And by the way, it is not so expensive to hire a pilot and a sport plane to fly from for instance Cambodja and cross the Thai border even me, who is a cheap Charlie could, afford that

Myopic as usual. What about the thousands of 'stranded residents' of Thailand, who are not of Thai nationality, who are effectively barred fro m returning to their wives and children in Thailand through unnecessary and I'll thought out 'required' documentation, tests and bureaucracy in Bangkok? How about letting them (us) return? Rich people flying in and spending money? Don't make me laugh. I'm currently in the process of building a large house/pool etc near Trang which I expect to cost IRO 3,000,000 baht. This employs 7 plus people and would do for about 3 months. That's all about to grind to a halt while we consider bringing my wife and son to the UK. Bibi Thailand, your life blood is draining. My apologies to the lovely Thai people who are actually appalled at what their government is doing to us. They're the ones who are really suffering

Thailand has been very fortunate with Covid and to let anyone in who has a few bucks more than average early seems like asking for trouble.

You should just keep a copy a paste headline facility entitled " Another official announces the first thing that pops into his head" ????

I am not sure about the wealthy but you would need to be a complete moron to want to spend time in Thailand under current conditions.

Why was Thailand not included in the fast track...or don't they believe the Thai numbers????.

Maybe the Thai tourist market to Singapore isn't that significant? Just look at the pre-Covid fourteen daily SQ, TR and JQ flights from Singapore to Bangkok versus the two daily TG flights from Bangkok to Singapore.

I've always thought this lot were using too much of their own product........ but when i got to this part in the article i lost the plot completely.........  "Chula Sukmanop, director general of the CAAT,"    Chula Suk ma nop !    Suk ma nop ?  and something to do with a Cat !
