Thai media 77khaoded reported that 14 Thais were arrested on Tuesday sneaking across the Cambodian border at a natural point of entry.

They are all workers at a casino in Poi Pet and wanted to avoid having to do 14 day state quarantine.

The workers said they had been in Cambodia for 2 months and wanted to go home and visit relatives.

The provincial Sa Kaeo court bailed them all for 40,000 baht each after they were charged under the Covid-19 regulations.

Sources suggested they are all connected to an influential gambling figure called "Sia Po" who allegedly tried to get the authorities to turn a blind eye to allowing the workers not to quarantine. This request was rejected.

The workers have now agreed to go into quarantine.

That's very kind of them 'agreeing', not having to be forced into quarantine.
