Armed robbery near Tara School?

Featured Replies

Mrs James told me that the local news is reporting an armed robbery at a "luxury village" up near Tara Pattana last night.

She says 5 armed men hit just one house taking cash & jewellery from a Chinese family living there.

Probably local news on TV. It will be hard to link to. ????

I expect this behavior to continue with any foreigner being the target as things get worse

economically in Thailand

Evidently another "luxury village" where the security guards can be persuaded to fall asleep or look in the other direction at the right time.

It brings back memories of Jomtien Park Villas a few years ago and that Hell's Angels case where the guy was kidnapped and murdered. I knew a guy who lived there and he pays 6,000 Baht/month in maintenance fees. I told him that was ridiculous, but he was adamant that it meant they had great security - right up until until that incident.

Good time to sell the gold chains, or put them away safely.
