Trump calls Fauci a 'disaster' and seeks to reassure his team he can win

Featured Replies

Just a few days ago, during the town hall, while he was being ripped to shreds by the excellent moderator, he said how much he likes Fauci.

These are the words of an unhinged, juvenile schizo. They cannot be taken seriously. What he says, means less than zero. Now that Fauci is criticizing him again, he must strike back. It is all he knows.

No worries, this toxic presence will be gone in a few months. He will be trounced on November 3rd!

I think Trump's theory is that as long as what he's saying and doing get's talked about, it makes him look like action man, and will help his vote.  Stop to think for a moment that Fauci, who has

Trump calls Fauci a 'disaster' and seeks to reassure his team he can win

So he publicly berates a member of his team to reassure his team.  Hmm, maybe it's something they teach at Wharton.

Throwing public tantrums, calling people names, and constantly talking about how you are superior to everyone else is one way to show the world how strong you are.  Or not so strong.

Trump shoveling fast to his election demise. This kind of vile and egregious name calling will not sit well with independent voters which he desperately need. Four in ten US adults identify as politically independent have been leaning towards voting in this election and spell trouble for Trump.

Post from an unapproved source, reported and removed along with replies.

I have listened to many interviews with trump supporters and they just love him and take offense to anyone who won't.

both are senile, take it as such and listen to neither

So a guy who has co-authored a paper for the New England Journal of Medicine is senile? Really? Look it up - the paper came out in March of this year.

And while I think that Trump is the worst president ever visited on the USA, he is far from senile. His narcissistic sensibilities and his ability to work the crowd and his instinct for the camera are still perfectly tuned.

Just to check, what criteria do you use to diagnose someone as suffering from senility? I would be willing to bet that you do not have any publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. You are just agist.

None of all this matters because China is going to win the election anyway.

So Trump calls Fauci a disaster, yet, uses him in his campaign ad (misquoted and taken out of context of course).  Should we listen to Trump or his campaign ads?  What a nutbag.

I don't know how many people remember the Moonies (a Christian cult out of South Korea with a charismatic leader and some nebulous connection to US right-wing, probably best known for mass weddings).  There were people who had to be de-programmed to bring them back to reality after what they had been through.  Looks like some similar interventions are in the wind.

I'd wear being called an idiot by Trump as a badge of honor. Keep up the good work, Dr Fauci!

Trump really is the lowest of the low. America and the world would be better of without this moron.

You cannot blame senility for Trumps totally uneducated and ignorant behaviour. It did not take long for the rest of the worlds leaders to wake up to him. The democratic elected leaders ignore him and laugh at him, the dictators play him for the fool he is.

never fear, mister president, you're halfway there!  and given your continued bungling of your non-response, it's almost a certainty that you'll attain that lofty goal by the time you're kicked out of the people's house in january.

yepper, our death numbers are big.  yugely big!  people are saying nobody has as many covid dead as we do.  i hear other nations envy our numbers.  ~~winning!

I am gravely concerned no matter what the outcome is, I feel it does not portend well for so many, and will need a steady hand and mind to reunite under whoever wins.

You can bet many on Trump's team (many of which are better described as rats) are quietly planning their escape from the sinking SS Trump.   Right now, they are afraid to attempt an escape, but right after election day when Joe becomes the President-Elect the rats will start jumping boat for all kinds of bogus reasons. The most used reasons will probably be health and family reasons.

And come noon 20 Jan 2021 after Joe is sworn in as President and Donald flies off to one of his golf resorts (like he being doing almost every weekend since elected), many of those rats will start telling their stories...publishing their books....testifying in court...which will not be flattering of Donald.

Clearly Fauci is senile because being able to discuss at length highly technical subjects in a socially appropriate way is one of the chief symptoms of senility.

Dr Fauci needs to dumb down science so that Americans can understand. Besides most of what he said was censored by the White House and trump. Its when Fauci spoke the truth and not inline with trump’s message you see the friction.  The main problem and reason for 219,000 covid dealths is on trump.  Idiot trump fanatics wont wear masks because trump wont mandate common sense.  Its why tomorrow im voting his a.. out of office.  An embarrassment to the office of President and the US Constitution.

People have the evidence, know the possible ramifications, and have freedom of choice so far, so unless it is mandated I guess people have the freedom to make poor choices, including POTUS.

He's a pompous ass, and has indeed sown total confusion with his contradictory statements about travel to or from China, or it's no use (today) wearing a mask, and (tomorrow) people should wear a mask wherever possible.

Fauci is a civil servant, so can get away with making contradictory statements ( the same thing has occurred in the UK with disastrous results).  Trump earlier on was following Fauci and his contradictions, but because he is a politician he can't get away with making these contradictory statements.

If Trump is at fault it is because he failed to do adequate research into Fauci's qualifications.  Just cos he's been there for decades does not grant him immunity from being ludicrous.  Anyone who's been in a work environment where a person is allowed to stay on and on and on knows how poisonous the atmosphere can get.

Dr Fauci has worked for 5 Presidents ....its trump that’s  not qualified. Hire a reality tv scammer clown. Expect a circus

Nice try. In the early stages of the epidemic it was reckoned by scientists that mask wearing - particularly wearing masks that weren't high grade - wasn't effective. As the research came in, scientists accepted the data and changed their recommendations. Ya think it would have been better if Fauci had stuck to the earlier recommendations despite the new information?

There was also the question of the public snatching up high grade n95 masks which were and continue to be in short supply (thanks Trump!) and so depriving front line health care workers of needed protection.

You answered your own comment by understanding that n95 were needed. Also all scientists were learning about this virus at the same time so what evolved was a mask mandate for the airborn desease. Trump ignore it . Politicized masks. Train wreck here in America.  Please let Biden win and lock up the trump grifters

You could apply the same "freedom of choice" argument to justify allowing drunk driving.  Unfortunately drunk drivers and super spreaders harm more than themselves.

Fauci and cdc recommend what needs to be done. Trump ignores it then blames fauci.

Always someone to blame. The buck stops somewhere else.

Trumps America is not great.

A post with a derogatory reference to a politician's name, AND attempted profanity, has been removed.

Don't abuse people's names, and don't use profanity, or face a suspension.

We had a Prime Minister in Australia who was anti-science. He was kicked out of his seat after his own party had deposed him. Americans should follow that lead.
