I totally agree.  There was no need for Thailand to close down in my humble opinion.

Just now, EricTh said:

I doubt these 40 Chinese are real tourists.

Seriously, who wants to go through all those strict requirements before coming to Thailand and then have another 14 day quarantine and Covid test again when they arrive in Thailand?

They are most probably retirees or investors with existing properties in Thailand.

You're probably right.

When Anutin says anything, it's time to worry!!!!     So much bs has come out from this genius.   He just loves being in the news and couldn't care what he says, in order to do it.

There are 1000's of expats waiting to be reunited with their families. They will gladly do the quarantines, no problem.

"....a group of around 40 Chinese tourists ...."

I fully trust a news source that can't even figure out exactly how many people came into the country.

Does one hand know what the other hand is doing?

As anyone that reads my posts will know I hold all politicians in low esteem and that the majority are corrupt....thats in my own country.  From what I have garnered from the many posts I have read and the number of government announcements, plus the actions taken by government in Thailand my conclusion is they here like those at home are in needed of replacement by honest patriot men and women who look to a better future for all their people, not just a select few.

He praised the arrivals like pioneers for their fortitude in accepting all the regulations.

These Tourists are not " Pioneers ", and they have no " Fortitude " in accepting all the regulations.

The Tourists will be specially selected " Guests " of the Government, probably being paid to be "Pioneers".

Or Guinea Pigs. Why would anybody of sound mind want to be Quarantined in Thailand. Its where all their Covid cases come from.

Just seems to me that Anutins proposals and rhetoric are being ramped up since he got a high ranking position in WHO.

But for many, what this guy spouts is nothing but C@@p.

I just cannot understand the WHO appointing this Racist, Xenophobe into there inner core. They can only loose credibility from this action, as Anutin uses his position to garner support for his own agenda.

So that should mean that the state of emergency (COVID) decree should now be repealed so we and all the tourists can  go shopping without a mask etc from now on.

Open up the borders then and put some flights on, the UK is getting even more boring than ever!

Well if that do then open it

A stop talking about it

Let's see some action...

His is talking to the Chinese, not the Thais. He gets his money from China. His primary concern is China. The Thai people are further down the list in his list of important people. Below the Chinese.

"So that should mean that the state of emergency (COVID) decree should now be repealed so we and all the tourists can  go shopping without a mask etc from now on."

You do realize that the state of emergency is serving a dual purpose now, don't you?

I totally agree.

I posted this in the "Worst Joke" section the other day.  It was posted as a Joke but regrettably it is true!

"Politicians and diapers have one thing in common.
They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason
."

Ok so  none of them are wearing masks so Im off out to burn all mine after printing that  photo to show all the retards  demanding one wherever I go, good  enuff  for "Anutcase" its good enuff  for me!

He skipped his meds again ? Pioneers ? What planet is he on ?

There have been people arriving and going through the hoop jumping expense and quarantine before this new lot who arrived on a budget airline . So why were they not praised as pioneers ? Because they weren’t Chinese perhaps and were dirty farang ! Mind blowing racism and xenophobia at its best ! ????

I sincerely hope so - we do across the border in Cambodia where it is more or less "old normal" with some public health advice (nothing mandatory).

First of all 29, then 39, now "around 40"?

These people can't count up to 50, but they expect us to believe that by the end of the year Thailand will have seen more than 7 million visitors (or was it 39?)

No!

And I do not need a conspiracy theory response from anyone please!

Is there any community transmission of the virus in Thailand? I mean there is no need for masks if the virus isn’t prevalent in the community right. I’m saying this from the comfort of Australia which is number 1 on Thailands list for safe locations for tourists to come from and which, in my local state, there hasn’t been local transmission for 6 months+. So there are no masks. I’m not anti-mask by they remain recommended for areas with high rates of local transmission - not as a permanent default.

He maybe weighing in the deaths from economic devastation vs actual covid deaths.

Chinese pioneers. Got to admire them, 14 days quarantine and being avoided like they have the plague.

They could easily visited many fantastic places in there own country, but being pioneers choose to venture in to the unknown.

Could make a good tv soapie.

Tests per 1 million, Thailand 13,000, Malaysia 59,000, UK 440,000, they just don't bother testing and it has gone away. The same will happen everywhere else, the misuse of the PCR test is driving it.

No big deal, 14 days in quarantine and then back home again.

A little bit different holiday trip, marketed as "A taste of Thailand"
