Tax sticker and unpaid infringement fine.

Featured Replies

I am interested to know if anyone has had a renewal of a tax sticker refused due to an unpaid traffic infringement notice.  And before the KEYBOARD WARRIORS start saying why don't you just pay the fine.  The fine has been paid and I've renewed the sticker.  Just interested to know if they have started blocking unpaid fines.

Yes I've renewed my car tax after not paying a speeding fine. My cleaner tidied away the nice colour photo never to be found again.

Renewed my truck road disc we have drive through now.

I was expecting pay the speed fine as well but it wasn't included, still 1060 baht.

A couple of Thai FB car groups report noone has had renewal issues yet with many unpaid tickets.

I read in the media earlier this year that the DLT had announced that people who had outstanding motoring fines would not be able to renew their driving licences.

I don’t recall whether it mentioned the road tax.

Like many announcements made by the government I can only assume it faded into obscurity.

Why would you not pay your fines?

TiT

There is supposed to be a link between the police and LTO that works. Mrs.Trans was refused renewing her bike road tax because there was an outstanding fine on their system that she knew nothing about. Went to the cop shop, paid the fine, taxed the bike....

I have never paid any fine and I have always renewed without problem. Pure BS.

I'd bet that you'd respect any law that protected you and your family, though, if you were in the position to need it, yes?

Do you have car insurance?

I do not need any protection, I am not a weak idiots who needs help. I have insurance because it will refund my 5mb car if a retarded break it, not because of the law.

Yet you claim to have a 5mb car. Why pay 5mb? Why not just take it if you respect no law?

I think you respect all laws you can't easily get away with.
