Prayut wrapped up by saying he does not understand why people keep saying he has exploited his power, when he has done everything according to law

Can't think why anybody would think that for such a modest and honourable gentleman who has always been above reproach, oops sorry General Prayut you say, sorry forget all that...

Was his personal wealth in the region of 2 billion when he overthrew the democratic  government and now somewhere in the region of 5 billion on a civil servants wages, from wiki his wages are:

In his role as head of the NCPO and the government, General Prayut was granted a salary of 125,590 baht (US$3,520) per month

Still at least he's doing his bit for the good people so that might deserve a bit of recompense:

https://asiatimes.com/2019/12/thailands-five-families-prop-and-imperil-prayut/

'Those five companies grew in power and profits during coup-maker Prayut’s first five-year term (2014-2019), with some expanding aggressively into new businesses like property development, while others like CP and Central Groups hyper-extended their reach into provincial retail'

The man is a parasite, a 70kg leech like the rest of his band of merry men...

Anyone, absolutely anyone would be better and more honest than this guy. Who does he think he is fooling? Does he even have a slight hint at how despised he is, at this point in time?

He and his cronies are running the nation into the ground. They claim they want to restart tourism. They claim they want to attract more foreign investment. Yet, everything they do is destroying the dreams, hopes, aspirations, careers, and future of the nation. They are the most regressive force possible. What sacrifices are these cowards willing to make for their people? None. It is all about the guys at the top, and the protection of the ivory tower and fortunes that are being made by the 00.2%. I suspect the future is not going to be kind to these guys. May the youth prevail!

Their reactions to recent events show utter desperation on the part of these brain dead dinosaur nitwits, who cannot adapt, cannot think on their feet, cannot lead the nation forward and cannot comprehend the sentiment of the nation, nor why they are so stunningly unpopular, and hated. They are so afraid, so gripped by panic, they will try anything, without giving a moments thought to the consequences.

Hey, Prayut, I'll be available soon

Quote

In the speech, Prayut said the country’s educational system was not bad, but it focused far too much on academics, when people should be educated about patriotism, history and loyalty.

“Not bad” ?.....well that shows how much he knows. But what he really meant was young people should be indoctrinated with the state’s version of history and loyalty, then there would be no problem with these pesky students. Unfortunately for him and his fellow dinosaurs there is such a thing as the internet nowadays. They can read the full story about events that the state would prefer them not to know.

Unfortunately he doesn't qualify.  Fatter yes, and more orange but that's about it.

I would settle for someone who could tie the knot in his tie evenly.

Would seem the subject matter experts disagree Thailand ranks 44th out of 66 of the countries checked by UNESCO in 2014 when General Pinocchio usurped power, would be very surprised if it's got any better since then...

time to leave, do you need help packing ? make sure the door will not hit  you on the rear end

just for the sake of it name one, only one..... oh, I get it, YOUR law, like usurping power

Tough act to follow, only patriots in traditional dress need apply and it would help if the applicant had a military bearing and was good at marching.

Yes, but 99% of the eligible candidates have to probably apply for a work permit first...????

Spin the wheel of candidates that this government disqualified and threw out.   Top one I could think of would be Thanathorn, but then is a businessman needed to steer this ship.  Well I think so, an it should not be a bunch of generals who are always on the attack.

Considering the bottom of the barrel has spoken it shouldn't be too hard.

Prayut challenges his successor to be greater, better, more honest

How can his successor be MORE honest. You're either honest or you're not!

I think I know which way I'm leaning

He's really not the sharpest arrow in the quiver and I reckon I am leaning the same way as you!

Should be a relatively easy walk in the park, because he is neither exceptionally great, nor very good, nor particularly honest.

Let's be frank, even his songs and poems are mediocre at best, awful at worst.

The only hurdle I see is that we lack politicians who are great, good or honest, let alone all three attributes at the same time.

IMO - Those people will emerge if the army and other institutions stay out of politics, and if people are permitted to have freedom to question the status quo without fear of being imprisoned (or worse).

It may take more than one generation to achieve those changes, but the current youth of Thailand seems to be making strides in the right direction.

And being honest is a push over, a 2 year old kid could do that easily...

Good, then relent your position to democracy and stop abusing your unelected power

"Abusing your............" would better replaced with  "enforcing your will"

I think that To Be Number One the only person is who can unite the country again and do the reforms, although a reform of the power of her brother would be difficult...

You cannot get more dishonest than him so that won’t be an issue with whoever succeeds him let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later but to be honest I cannot see that happening the guy is power crazy
