Nobody wants to work and get sick. Service staff are in more danger of covid than medical staff. The recent reopening, then infection then reclosing of bars has been a hard lesson. It's very sad. Go Go bars etc are no longer safe working environments in the current situation. No tightly packed, badly ventilated small spaces such as bar and G clubs can stay open for any length of time before a covid break out, illness, usually very distressing, then closure. That is the pattern until covid is under control. The recent opening of clubs around Pattaya and Jomtien was a medical experiment. COVID will never be under control, it will be a stream of variants. Just like colds and flus. Edited January 2, 2022 by BritManToo

He is a very powerful businessman and pillar in the community but also a visible driving force for Pattaya and the entertainment industry. Furthermore he's very happy with how the governments and police are handling the covid situation. Come on down. 1 1

Popular Post aussiexpat
I made it back to Patts today. Condo was a mess after 2 years so after 2 hours of quick cleaning I needed a beer. The walk from the Urban to Irish Rovers didn't seem any different to 2 years ago (except massages were 200 baht for 2 hours, wow). I saw Rib Shack still open and Cheap Charlie's was packed. The Spaggetti is still at the drinking spot on corner of soi Dianna but the Aussie burger stall is gone ???? The Nest at the entry to LK looked pretty good but didn't go in. Irish Rovers waitresses just as friendly and beautiful as ever, Beer Singh cold as ice, about 10 people watching the Ashes, life is good ???? Well known case of Phil from Le Pub having covid. Who went to his bar, or who did he have lunch and / or a beer with, 2 weeks ago? Given the expat community mainly consists of retirees, the most vulnerable group, and with many of them not being in good health, some may not make it. And again, Harry, it's all about that few percent who have a reaction to covid that will need hospitalization. If that number is greater than the amount of hospital capacity here, what do you think they will do? 49 minutes ago, HashBrownHarry said: Deal with it, things are improving. I agree, they are, but Thailand is now entering a new phase in the pandemic, and one that is not about the amount of "cases" but about the amount of hospitalizations.
