Popular Post snoop1130 Posted December 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 8, 2020 Anutin dismisses rumour of epidemic, backs plan to sue illegal border crossers By The Nation Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul told the press on Tuesday that the Covid-19 situation in Thailand has not reached the epidemic level yet. He said most infections have been brought in from outside and the recent illegal border crossers have only infected those close to them. Last week 10 women sneaked across the border from Tachilek in Myanmar and travelled to other provinces, including Bangkok, before testing positive. Anutin said the women who entered illegally to avoid the 14-day mandatory quarantine were selfish, immoral and lacked a sense of responsibility. He added that the authorities will take legal action against these women, adding that people returning to the country should follow laws and public health regulations. He also said that he fully supports Chiang Rai tourism operators who are planning to sue the illegal border crossers for Bt20 million in compensation for loss of business. Anutin said nobody should be allowed to get away with such selfish behaviour. “They should all be sued. The government also has to take legal action against them, otherwise they will not learn,” he said. He also said no province has been put under lockdown so far. As for concern that some 500 Thais may have sneaked across from Laos, he said he believes provincial officials and border security have the situation under control. However, he said, ensuring complete safety requires cooperation from returnees, who should take responsibility and enter the country through correct channels. He also advised people to monitor announcements from the Department of Disease Control. “The Public Health Ministry holds a press conference on the situation every day. Don’t listen to rumours [of an epidemic]. The ministry and other government agencies are trying to fix the situation,” Anutin said. Popular Post ThailandRyan Posted December 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 8, 2020 So then the 4 ASQ Medical personnel, just mysteriously picked it up from someone in quarantine and did not pass it on to anyone in quarantine, or outside of quarantine. Makes me think of the chocolate factory scene on I love Lucy. He just can not keep up with what's really happening. Time to stick your foot in your pie hole Anutin. <<<<Off topic trolling video removed>>>> 14 5
Popular Post Lacessit Posted December 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 8, 2020 How about some real numbers in your media statements, instead of spin. How many are hospitalised, how many are in quarantine, where are they are distributed, how many of their contacts have been traced. How many of the contacts have been infected. Then people could assess for themselves whether what you say is valid. 13 1

mtls2005 Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Often perplexing that of the two options here for enforcing the law (charges/lawsuit), suing someone seems to roll off the tongue of the PtB so easily. I guess suing is reverved for threats of applicaiton of the law, and requires no paperwork, so that path is used by the lazy and inept.

They handle this job a lot better than most countries, like most things regarding covid. Every covid case recorded, showing where, the dates, if they have recovered, if they had symptoms etc. eg How many “Total recovered” and “ Active cases” in the UK? The UK won’t tell us. I am glad he is going to sue these moles, I don’t see any other country doing the same. It will help to prevent further crossings if they know they will be punished. Some posters seem to be under the impression that these are poor hookers, they are not. They were making plenty. Their selfishness, laziness and greed (which is typical for girls in this profession) has caused loss to other businesses that were already struggling. Once again people will pile on the criticism because Anutin dared to call some farangs dirty for not wearing a free mask he was personally handing out to stop this pandemic during the same month Boris Johnson was going around shaking hands with infected patients in hospitals without washing his hands. Frail. 3 1 1 1 1
Popular Post Benmart Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 "...selfish, immoral and lacked a sense of responsibility.". Is he speaking about those in power who use their position for personal gain, as a springboard for corruption, nepotism and oppression? 5
Dialemco Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 There will always be eopleccrossing the border it is a matter of earning money to buy food or die. Instead of all this pointless nonsense would it not be better to accept money has to be spent to vaccinate entire population and get on with it as a matter of extreme urgency.

Keep drinking the kool aid Truth is Thailand doesn't test...period Tell Anutin test 500k a day then talk C19 is 98.xxx% survivable most go unreported many older folks died of pneumonia in villages this year 10
vandeventer Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 I saw a news article a few times saying North Korea was shooting Chinese who crossed their borders without permission for fear of the covid-19 spreading. North Korea and China are good friends and they still shoot each other maybe we can at least capture the border jumpers. We have a army? 1
Popular Post Boomer6969 Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 Again, it is nauseating that everyone seems to focus on these girls, who indeed displayed some irresponsible behaviour, while no one mentions their Thai customers.
