BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand on Saturday confirmed 110 new coronavirus infections, of which 64 were local infections, connected to an outbreak in the southwest province of Samut Sakhon, the country's coronavirus worst outbreak yet.

Of the new infections, 30 were among migrant workers and 16 were imported cases, Taweesin Wisanuyothin, a spokesman for the country's COVID-19 task force, told a briefing.

Thailand has a total of 6,020 confirmed cases and 60 deaths.

It's the migrants workplace & living quarters that are significant. Similar to what happened in Singapore before.

Yeah,  course it is. I guess the 6 of 700 (or 1% ish) random tests of the Thai government house staff were migrants. That rolled out nationwide could mean over 600,000 thai have it ! But , hey , better not to test the public

I heard that they found a case just down the road from Pattaya in Huay Yai, in a market there. What are the odds that the infected person is a seafood vendor?

Makes no sense at all without telling us how many tests were taken.

Agreed.

How many tests were performed? What percentage were positive?

You are rambling again, the 6 in government house where false positives.

Here we go........

Who'd have thought a shrimp market could be so significant.

Or migrants, now they suddenly seem to be on the radar.

Right.
And who would have thought that a wet market in Wuhan could be so significant .......... and deadly?

So the BP is now saying there are another 42 cases in addition to the 110.

27 of them in Rayong linked to an illegal gambling den. Can't blame that on the Burmese... Lols. ????

Who I wonder was the main players in the gambling Den, how many policemen and higher ups will be named. I wonder how many of those positive work for the police or the Government.  Sigh, its a never ending battle of corruption and stupidity. Failing to look at what the outcomes might be before involving oneself.

Do you ever watch the news, you just make things up. Complete fabrication.

I'm not sure if it was covered in the links you provided (can't read Thai) but I'm curious about the 27 from the Rayong gambling den.  Has there been any mention about how they were identified?  Contact tracing?  Or were they symptomatic and sought medical attention? (Thanks)
