PM's Office Minister Anucha Nakasai and state officials on Saturday visited Nakhon Pathom province to inspect the readiness of restaurant and prawn farmers to prevent a Covid-19 outbreak.

They also visited a restaurant where they ate seafood for lunch in front of the press to demonstrate that Thai seafood is safe.

The latest outbreak reportedly began at the Central prawn market in Samut Sakhon province, stoking fears that seafood could be contaminated by the virus.

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration on Saturday revealed 110 cases in the past 24 hours, including 94 domestic cases and 16 in state quarantine. Of the 94 cases, 64 were Thai nationals while 30 were migrant workers living in the country.

Meanwhile, Nakhon Pathom reported 13 new cases of Covid-19 as of 7am on Saturday, raising the total number of patients to 30 in the latest outbreak. All of them are being treated in hospitals.

Nah mate,  Anucha is a long hauler, political tart.

was in with Thaksin in the early 2,000s.

then jumped to the Democrats under Abhissit  after Thaksin was evicted

then tried to jump back in with Yingluck when she was PM but rejected

so then jumped in with Nevin’s Bhumjaithai

and during the last election was under Anutin, who said he wouldn’t support Prayut without a majority,  but backflipped on that pledge after the election and now is a minister under Prayut.

He has had plenty of free lunches over the years at the trough.

I know a few other things about him, but you know, Thai defamation laws.
do a google search in Thai

wealthy fella.

Putting on a brave face during a time of uncertainty as Covid is spreading, while trying to sell seafood?  Is that the Governments only job now, to sell seafood and markets as safe. If so then why the new closures and a lockdown coming to a province near you. How are you going to buy seafood if you can not get to those locations.  Maybe they can airdrop the prawns from the new Thai space shuttle

One has to ask the questions:

Are your local market traders "people of influence"? - Nay

Are the seafood industry proprietors ( one might use other titles, slavers and gangsters spring to mind) "people of influence"? -Yes, lots of "influence". - Aye

The "Ayes" have it.

Look at those faces ????

The one on the left is thinking "sh.., what am I eating here".

The one on the right "should I or shouldn't I"?

The middle one is just hoping that the 2 other ones look away and he puts his food on their plate ????

I live in mueang Nakhon Pathom... nice to see him sitting in a sterile restaurant eating seafood saying it's safe, take a walk down the wet fish markets or stalls lining the streets where vendors daily drive to SS to buy produce to bring back and sell to the public all day.

Latest news is central mueang, Nakhon Chaisri, Sam Phran, Rai Khing, Bang Len, Don Tum Suphanburi and others all have positive infections, and increasing.
