'It's insurrection,' Biden says, as Trump supporters storm U.S. Capitol

Pence can join the Cabinet and invoke the 25th Amendment, removing 45 from power. 45 can contest and claim he isn't incapacitated, but there is a 4 day waiting period where the VP remains in control and 45 does not have Presidential authority. Thus, he cannot fire all of the Cabinet members who voted to remove him.

Ideally an independent and bipartisan group of mental health professionals should then be called in to assess 45's mental state.

If 4 days pass and 45 somehow regains power, pence can immediately invoke the 25th again, gaining a new 4 days.

Bellingcat has accumulated video footage from multiple sources of the terrorists who stormed the Capitol today and will be doxxing all of them. The terrorists committed felonies, so law enforcement will then be able to round them up, charge them, and if found guilty, they will lose the right to own or possess firearms. Bellingcat will also gather registration records at DC area hotels and then match against faces in the Capitol.

The new AG, as well as the FBI, is going to be very busy.

Not going to happen.  Just watch.

I’ve heard 3 independent military/security professionals disagree with you...

Time will tell.

Interesting.  Trump may just fire Pence after he announces Biden's victory and install some lackey...like that total nutjob Lin Wood.  I wouldn't put it pass Trump to do something batsht crazy in these last two weeks.

Qanon leader standing in the chambers where Pence had just been sitting, I'm sure the seat was still warm. This should never have been allowed, considering how much advance notice 45 had tweeted:

the president can fire an elected vice president?

he might try, he might tell his followers he did, but no, he can not.

This is the limit of 45 removing Pence:

S4. 1.1 Impeachment and Removal from Office: Overview. Article II, Section 4: The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Bottom line, Pence's position is secure for the next few weeks then it's AMF!

LOL the stock market is UP.. investors must think best thing for business is to just not have a govt.

The stock market is up because investors assume an end to gridlock on an infrastructure bill and the relaxation of trade restrictions.

King George III in 1776 thought of American patriots the same way you think of American patriots today.  No different.  Lots of people in America during that time who sided with the British.  All depends on what side of the fence you're on.  Or, to put it another way, it's simply a matter of perspective.  Granted, one perspective in this case is seriously out of whack.

Sedition isn't patriotic.

Those people won't be making the decisions.  I give it more than a 50% chance that Trump simply pardons them all.

luckily enough the 3 pipe bombs  trump's worshipers left in the  building failed to go off.

Trump's Twitter and Facebook accounts have been suspended. His Twitter account until he takes down three tweets, Facebook for 24 hours. Be better if they shut him up permanently.

IMO he should be arrested and charged with sedition, I'm sure Harris would like to. Already there are rumblings about a second impeachment.

It will be interesting after the inauguration of Biden, to see just what court actions will take place. Hopefully, and importantly, Trump should face insurrection charges over this fiasco....then all the law suits awaiting him for his bad business dealings. 10 years would see him gone!

Ahh- FAKE NOOS. I was highlighting ONE particular situation in which the cops did their job and de-escalated it. I have not condoned any acts of violence. Its a sad day for America,

Keep holding to your agenda though.

Typical.  Label anything you don't like as fake news.

The protesters should be arrested.  If they were BLM, they should be arrested if doing the same thing.  That's my agenda.

A brainwashed sheeple is someone who doesn't see storming the capital with the intent to overturn a legitimate, legal election result as sedition.

Storming the capitol was not part of the discussion and had nothing to do with it.  You're the 3rd poster who has tried to change the focus of the discussion to something entirely unrelated.

Well those goalposts moved.

First they won’t be arrested. Now they will be pardoned.

Whether or not he is a "Shaman" or a conspiracy theory nutter, he is certainly a remarkably strange fellow, or as Mr Trump might say "fine people"!

What a terrible thing to have happened to the USA's democracy.

If by some chance he ends up in jail for these antics, will he be allowed into the exercise yard when there is a full moon so that he can howl at it? It would after all be a legitimate expression of his social and political beliefs...

To be clear, they won't be arrested and they will be pardoned.  There is no requirement to be charged or even arrested for a crime in order to receive a pardon.  Andrew Johnson pardoned virtually the whole Confederate Army who were neither arrested nor charged with any crime.

Interesting thought. More than once 45 has told those at his rallies he would "pay their legal fees" for crimes committed on his behalf, and his recent pardon gush for absolute criminals (including murderers) would plant a seed in the back of the invaders' minds that they would be absolved of their sins if arrested.

I am waiting for Trump to pardon all 4,000 members of his administration, once he realizes that that is possible.
