cloud storage?

Featured Replies

what is the best value cloud storage available, please? . I have 2 reports of my available storage running out; the first is from my google account; the second is from my Microsoft account. Tia.

A few keystrokes and a few clicks will tell you:

Google Drive 100GB plan is $2US / month or $20US/year (sorry, my account only gives US$ quote)

Apple iCloud is 35B for 50GB and 99B for 200 GB

A Microsoft Family Account is only $99 (£80) a year for up to 5 people who each get 1TB of Cloud storage.

That seems like a very good deal if I needed Microsoft software.  But my need for the Office apps has pretty much disappeared since retirement.  Google also allows me to utilize 2(maybe more) Google Drive accounts easily so cloud storage is also taken care of.

What Operating System are you using?

You do not have to install or use Office.

MacOS latest version, Catalina.

Are you wondering how to use multiple accounts simultaneously?  I just clicked on the Backup&Synch app in the task bar and opened the drop down menu (3 dots) and chose "Add new account".  Now,  both GDrive accounts are synched when I run the app.

Not wondering anything. Latest W10, One & Google Drives, all working fine.

And get BoxCryptor because private data should only  be stored in the cloud being encrypted via a key controlled and known by the user solely (= end-to-end encryption).

Sorry to be anal but end to end encryption only applies to communications like voice/video or chat.. Something like encrypted storage is "At rest".

My idea about best value is: easy to use for a reasonable price.

Personally I use Windows and OneDrive because it is perfectly integrated and is cheap.

It is also perfectly integrated in my Android phone.
