Yes, it's very adult to resent not behaving responsibly when an epidemic is raging and behave in such a way the puts others at risk. Already Biden has mandated mask wearing on all interstate public travel.

Remember when Trump and his supporters claimed that the Federal Govt had no responsibility for vaccination? That it was up to the states? Biden has already opened 2 mass vaccination centers.

He has allowed public health officials to speak freely.

(Under the Trump administration interference by political hacks in dealing with the virus was the order of the day.)

It's not like the final responsibility rests with the Chief Executive

Because the buck stops with the POTUS. If Pence wasn't doing the job properly Trump could have replaced him as he fired and replaced so many others.

Trump may be a statistic in the herd immunity. Reports that he was on the verge of being placed on ventilator and oxygen levels into the 80s are not good for him. Covid is considered to be severe when blood oxygen levels hit the low 90s. At his age and poor physicality, he is mortally in danger. Not the one who wish ill on him, I hope he spend time to reflect on all the mistakes he made that resulted in the bad covid situation. At least we now have a competent team in the adminstration and not repeat the mistakes of Trump.

What was perfect about the handoff?  Trump left no plan for vaccinations and had only achieved one fifth of the 20 million vaccinations he promised by the end of 2020.

Looks like the U.S. is continuing to make progress in upping its rate of daily CV vaccinations since Biden was inaugurated on Jan. 20 -- from under 900,000 per day at the outset to now more than 1.5 million average per day as of the latest day Feb. 10, and hopefully that rate will continue to increase under a competent administration.
