How to move/deliver a mattress?

Featured Replies

I’m wanting to move a mattress to another house, what’s the cheapest way to do it?

Distance is about 100km within Khon Kaen province

Are there postal options rather than hiring a van and driving it there?

Mattress is just 2 months old (7000 baht) so not sure if it’s easier just to sell it and buy another..

Yes, you can use the Post Office for large items.  Usually thats PO to PO not door to door, so you would still need to move from PO to home.

You could ask local furniture shop for price to move it for you .

Turning across traffic must be tricky...

Tie it down on the roof of your car with ropes in thru open window and one fore and aft from bumper to bumper or towing lugs below front and rear valance.

And in the event of a roll-over accident it will provide extra protection for the occupants, what's not to like? ????

and it’s free air conditioner if you ride on top...

Reminds me of the old Mike Harding joke, "She used to carry a mattress on her back in case she met somebody she knew."

Sell it! This thread is just too silly. How much do you think it will cost you to move it 100 km?

Couple of hundred Baht at most ????

Do you own or have a mate with a Hi-Lux?  Ford ranger etc? Toss it in the back it's an hours drive and should only cost you gas money. I'll do it for 500 baht

Once had to move a mattress 70km. I paid the local motorcycle taxi 500 baht to arrange the delivery in his pals pickup. It arrived covered in mosquitos. Don't recommend it.

Sincerely

Morris
