PHUKET: Police say they are investigating an entertainment venue in Phuket Town for late trading after the Phetchaburi Police Chief, who has a residence on the south side of town, called 191 to complain about loud nightclub music at 4:30am yesterday (Feb 21).

The investigation follows Maj Gen Uthai Kawindechathorn, Chief of the Phetchaburi Provincial Police, posting a video on his personal Facebook page yesterday, with a long post calling for police in Phuket to step up their efforts to prevent such public disturbances.

"Let a picture tell the story, on holiday at my house in Phuket and tomorrow I have to wake up early to go back to Phetchaburi, trying to sleep while hearing loud music with a heavy bass sound,” Maj Gen Uthai wrote.

Didn't attempt to go and stop it himself then; being a 'Police Chief' and all that with no doubt Medal Ribbons Galore plus 'Wings' etc etc, all awarded for bravery beyond the call of duty.......Lol !

Why doen't he check the loud speakers on cars at the temples or parties in Ban Lat and karaoke bars around Phetchaburi first?? Oh maybe he gets some envelopes in Phetchaburi

A local temple to me has just started a 05:00 call to the masses.

Must be a revolving speaker as it fades and then returns, doing a 360  to make sure to wake everyone.

I'm 2 kilometres from the temple and it wakes me everyday, god knows what it must be like next door.

If you watch the Thai news he did go and tell them to stop at 4-30 am obviously not in his uniform, he rode a bicycle so you can imagine some clown at the bar politely told him to go away.

Apparently he went back and phoned the chief in Phuket

Good on him for highlighting it...????????

Someone that's capable of getting local police to do something speaks up and people on here like trainman34014 and ikke1959 whinge about it, but then again they probably whinge about everything...
