Panel to probe conduct of six Palang Pracharat MPs for abstaining in censure vote

The Palang Pracharat party has set up a panel to investigate the conduct of six of its MPs, known collectively as the Dao Ruek group, for abstaining from voting in support of Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob on Saturday, following the censure debate, in defiance of the party whip.

The executive committee of the government’s core party, led by Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, met on Monday to discuss the conduct of the rebel MPs, which was deemed to be a violation of the party’s regulations.

Mr. Paiboon Nititawan, one of the deputy leaders, said it was decided to form a committee to investigate the matter and to submit its findings within 15 days, but he hinted that the six rebels would not be penalized, but they might lose some rights reserved for the party’s MPs.

They were most probably bribed to join Palang Pracharat for a big financial gain, and have now seen that the party is just one totally corrupt outfit, which is obvious, just look at the person at the helm of the organisation !

Yes, probably bribed but they knew they were joining a corrupt party. More likely the bribes have not been paid or they haven't been able to feed on enough swill from the trough.

It's hard to keep up with who is doing who these days the real Thai people must be dumbfounded at the collapse of the country for the biggest backhander day after day ????

Hardly seems very democratic not being able to vote against anything you disagree with, seems more CCP.

Ah; this weeks 'Probe', can't live here without at least one every week !

Panels/committees/probes/ all have one thing in common - whitewash.

You sign an allegiance to the party, one must remain honourable and vote the correct way.
