An upbeat Taweesin Visanuyothin said the public and tourism operators should contact the authorities if they have any bright ideas.

Taweesin had just announced the easing of restrictions on sporting events and transit at Suvarnabhumi and appeared full of the joys of spring as Thailand emerges from the second wave of the pandemic.

He spoke of something called "Yacht Quarantine" which is being considered and will allow yacht owners to quarantine on their vessels for 14 days.

Crew will be able to quarantine at home before joining the vessel.

"Anyone who has got any bright ideas - such as Villa Quarantine - is welcome to contact us", he said. "Maybe tourism operators have suggestions that we can approve.

"Just tell us," he told business media.

"Crew will be able to quarantine at home before joining the vessel."

Any other visitors should be able to quarantine at home then.

What about consulting the "think tank" at TAT? ????

Thailand missed out.., now wants it’s own ‘Diamond Princess’ !!!!

The ideas are getting silly.

They haven’t even got the golf quarantine property sorted yet (other than one tour group from Korea) - 6 golf course for quarantine, only  1 with any information.

Vaccinate the locals so tourists feel safe!

I have a great Idea, and will send it later today. Will go quick!

  1. Stop spouting daily Big BS!
  2. Make a realistic plan! (Please Google "realistic" before attempting this part.)
  3. Stick to it!

Sounds like the Team at TAT are planning another luxury "workshop" to test this theory out ????

Laughable dreams from the daycare center.

considering the propensity of those who ignore health warnings and behave in extremely self centered ways, those subs could come in real handy for those yachters who flaunt the rules..

Allow yachts to quaranteen onboard. Count days at sea towards quaranteen. Test on final day of quaranteen

No fee.

At last, a possible use for a Royal Thai Navy submarine to enforce the quarantine rules with 24/7 patrols around the yachts??
