Thai media The Bangkok Insight published details of where the first lot of the Chinese made Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine would go.

They urged the Thai public to "look carefully".

The initial 200,000 doses - that arrived with much pomp and ceremony earlier in the week - will mostly be given to health care workers rather than the general public in the initial stages.

Thirteen provinces including the Thai capital Bangkok where the outbreak has been severest will get priority along with some tourism provinces.

Here is the breakdown:

Samut Sakhon - 70,000 doses

Bangkok 66,000

Samut Prakan 6,000

Samut Songkhram 2,000,

Nonthaburi 6,000

Nakhon Pathom 3,500

Pathum Thani 8,000

Tak 5,000

Ratchaburi 2,500

Chonburi 4,700

Phuket 4,000

Surat Thani 2,500

Chiang Mai 3,500

The remaining 16,300 are being kept in reserve in case of further outbreaks or as needed.

That is if there are any left after all the cronies have jumped in and said, me, me, me first.

Don't worry, the numbers are for Sinovac, the cronies will be fighting over the Az jab.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

They should have auctioned off the first 10,000 vaccines, might be an easy earner for the government.

Perhaps they did, using a "silent auction" format not open to the general public

Yeah, no <deleted>, they're going to have to force people to take this one.

I'd also bet that anyone who gets this vaccine will go on to seek the real thing when it arrives.

Probably they did, but I guess nothing ended up in the coffers of the government.

"16,300 kept in reserve in case they are needed".  Too rich.  You can't make this up.
