BANGKOK (Reuters) - Domestic car sales in Thailand dropped for a second straight month in February, down 10.9% from year earlier to 58,960 vehicles, amid concerns about a new coronavirus outbreak, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) said on Thursday.

In January, sales tumbled 21.3% year-on-year to 55,208 cars.

No surprise at all.  The only reason there was an increase in December was because of the promotions the dealers carried out and then the trade in's that were taken.  No normal person or family has the disposable income needed to buy a new vehicle with the Covid times amongst us.  No money, no Honey, no toys......

Surprising really in a country where (car) servicing is unheard of; where road worthiness tests are demanded every 7 years (assuming the owner can remember when he bought the car) and there being no police force.

Still dropping, waiting for the auto-makers to start serious cutting back.

not in Hua Hin. can't go anywhere without running into your ex girlfriends.

Is that because they have good memories or just sheer numbers?

I always found it pretty strange that as I rode my motorbike in Phuket around Rawai at 60kmh that the Thai women could remember who I was and call me by my name, actually yelling it out as I rode by, no matter what bike I was riding at the time.  No my name is not Hansum man....lol
