The vicious type.  Known locally as ตะขาบ  (dta-khap).

I got bit in my sleep on consecutive nights.

These little creeps are decimating my sex life.

I think they emerge through tiny holes in the wall on ground level.

Is there some kind of readily-accessible poison or repellent I can put down?

Never had centipedes but when ants, spiders, roaches, etc. show up, my wife sprays likely places of ingress with bug spray (from Makro).  That usually lasts at least a couple months.

You know, professional pest control services aren't expensive out here, around 10K Baht/year for bi-monthly spraying inside and out and a call-out service for one-off problems between the sprayings. If you're in the Pattaya area, I can recommend an excellent service that I've been using for many years now and I never have any bug problems.

Try filling in the tiny holes with cement.

We use contract sprayers that come at monthly intervals and cost 6000bht PA. Still get centipedes  cockroaches  but normally  on their last legs.  Ants seem immune so we have to  zap them on sight problem  being they are tiny

But yeah,

I've lived in a house with a Dta-karp problem, and I solved it by moving.

My next house had a scorpion problem ...... moved again.

Then we had snakes ...... the cat would bring them in and drop them on me when I was sleeping.

3 houses, 3 different problems.

I guess this is just life in the tropics.

That’s why I live in 20th floor

Go to a garden /nursery /fertilizer shop and buy Cypermethrin powder. It's cheap and naturally degrades in a few days.

Sprinkle it lightly around the outside walls of your house and any other places that makes sense. It's effective against nearly any insect and works within minutes. Trashes their nervous system so they just quiver a bit and stop moving.

You can also mix it with water and spray it around walls and floors. It's pretty effective even when heavily diluted.

I use it to eliminate those nasty big red ants that make war on anything that moves within 5m of their nest.

As with anything like this take care that pets don't consume it although it's not particularly harmful to mammals.

Ditto there. We had an annual ant service, but Cypermethrin sprinkled around the base of the house eliminated everything else. Had to reapply every few weeks, but well worth the effort.

I use a yearly sprayer company - 7 Pest Control? Trouble is, they kill just about everything that moves. I have seen only one cicada skin in my garden so far this year. There used to be dozens:

So far:  one toe, one finger

Yet another reason why renting is so preferable here.  Wifey wants to buy.  With her own family's money.  I'm still dead-set against it.

That cat either loved or hated *very much*.

It's hard to tell as they are such damn good actors.

I would rather have bugs.

I use insecticide available on Lazada mixed with water and spray around the house kills almost everything, never had a problem inside. had to use it on red ants and ticks on the property (after my workshop got infested with ticks and i mean hundreds of the little barstewards they have never come back). cost is about 600b a ltr and enough for 200 ltr when mixed lasts me years.
