Apparently the deceased was cremated at Wat Plai Laem. Not sure why.

That is where I go most weeks to put flowers on my wife's memorial.

It has been closed for the last few weeks - the monks have been praying to try and stop Covid. (So I was told.)

Let us hope that that is the only death.

I heard the person was only 23. So young.

Surat Thani is copping it fairly bad, have been a lot od problems at markets, the bigest market has been closed down, some 7/11's have been a probl;ems same with some banks. Our daughter is supposed to be training at the local govt hospital but they have sent her home to do all her studies(doctor) due to the current spread of covid so it is still a major problem here

I am struggling to understand the numbers here.

Accumulated cases since April last year 434.

Accumulated cases since 18/7  314+38+98 = 450

What am I missing? Surely the April 2020 number should be higher than 18/7?

It's my impression that all numbers are copied from an official statement in Thai language. I share Nicha's graphics, as they are in English, then I don't need to figure out anything in Thai from Google Translate. Perhaps the Thai saying, "don't think too much", fit's well here...????

31st August +0 on Samui and Phangan.
If there are  no new cases in the future I will not post, I'll post only when I see some cases are registered.

That is a bit ironic.

13 cases from meeting at the Public Health Department.

Stay safe people.

Probably meeting to discuss the spread of Covid on Samui

Apparently 4 cases of Covid on Koh Tao.

Danger close!

It is inevitable that Delta strain will end up near you....wherever you are. The thing is to continue taking precautions and get vaccinated.

The one thing you can count on is you are much less likely to get seriously I'll after a vaccination....sane as with the flu jab but more effective.
