ThaiPlus or MorChana?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Should I install both apps?

I don't get the difference, they both seem to do the same thing.

Every one entering Thailand is required to install ThaiPlus, so would MorChana be redundant?

My quarantine is over and still I don't know the difference between the Thai Plus and MorChana.

Could anyone enlighten me, please?

Don't know.  Is ThaiPlus intended more for foreigners and MorChana for Thais?

It would seem that way. When I scan in and out I actually use LINE which connects with Mor Chana.

I don't know the difference. When we go out I'm not able to connect to the wi-fi network so can't use either one, but have both apps on my phone. I never see anyone scan the q-code, so I assume nobody is using either one here in Nakhon Sawan.

Thaichana app is the one you can use for shopping centres etc, just scan the QR code. I use it sometimes. Maybe the authorities will care if you get covid and they check your timeline and you've been nowhere i.e. not checked in anywhere

The way I understood it was :

Thaichana was opened by scanning ( via Line or a QR reader )the QR code when entering stores/malls etc . Check out upon exit required.

Morchana checks you in and out automatically via gps and Bluetooth. No check out required.

Of course I could be wrong.

Thaiplus is a new one to me !
