Sell your watches Deputy PM Prawit and donate the cash to vaccines for the poor!

Exiled Party leader Sam Rainsy in Cambodia has put his watch for auction valued at $5.00 and is hoping to sell 10,000 tickets with all funds going to fighting Covid19 and purchasing vaccines. He has challenged Hun Sen, who is known to have watches worth Millions of Dollars ( on his $1100 a month prime minster salary) to do the same.

Well, much closer to home in Thailand, we have a Deputy PM who is also known to have a penchant for Luxury watches. Another person who affords massive ticket items on a small salary.

I was wondering if he fancies doing the same and raffling therm off for charity with all proceeds going to help in purchasing the much needed vaccines for the masses, in which Thailand is woefully lagging behind?

Well, Deputy PM, what do you say?

Scouse 123 please explain how chubby chops will be able to sell watches, he cannot sell them, as he only borrowed them from a dead friend.

The relatively privileged folks on here will surely be happy to liquidate assets and lead by example as well, right?

I think you should mention many many more rich guys in Thailand. I also never understood why anybody would buy a Ferrari for Thailand streets...

And it seems money is not the limiting factor with the vaccination. In many rich countries the vaccination is slow - not because of missing money.

iI think a starting point must to be to get the vaccine, you must at least order the bloody stuff!

Correct there are many more rich guys in Thailand such as CP Foods, Singha corporation, and Red Bull as well as others.

We don't they do as the big institutions are doing in Cambodia, get behind their country and donate some of the vast wealth they have generated through their years of cronyism and nepotism.

Going back to my 92-96 untac cambo days always respect the hell outta him. Met him few times in Long Beach CA

Your forgetting the mantra Thais live by.......me..me...me...me...mine

Have some compassion! How will the dear old toad buy his ticket to heaven if he sells his "borrowed " collection?
