One for a lazy Sunday when we can't go to the pub..

It is difficult to say "better than the original", but cover versions that you love.

Here is a starter for ten for you: Sound of Silence by Disturbed

Thanks Mark. Sometimes remakes are done badly but this was done well.

Haven't heard of Disturbed before but had a quick look at some other vids and will look more.

LThanks Damian. I love this track but think most of their stuff is a bit on the "heavy" side for me.

Stay safe

Probably the most successful cover ever was Whitney Houston's 'I will always love you'.

Dolly Parton wrote the song and had a Number 1 twice with it, 1974 and 1982, but it wasn't until 1992 that the song became an international megahit. We all know the cover so how about the original.

UB40 did some great covers, the most famous was their cover of Neil Daimonds Red Red Wine, which Neil Diamond liked so much he also did reggae version. The second was their cover of Jimmy Cliff’s Many Rivers To Cross but I think  CLiff’s original is still the best.

the live woodstock version is probably my all time favourite cover version.
